The SmartLink WiFi module and app allow you to connect to and take control of your spa remotely from any location at any time. The SmartLink module connects to any model SV controller and then uses your home WiFi network to facilitate communication between the app server and the spa. The SmartLink app becomes a mobile, wireless remote for your spa enabling complete control of all settings and accessories including pumps, blowers and LED lights.
Simple to use touch screen menus provide total control of all spa settings. Adjust set temperature, operating mode, filtration time, sleep or power save timers and more.
Configure the spa to match your usage patterns or solar power generation, drastically reducing your heating costs and saving you thousands in energy costs over the lifetime of
the spa.
Link your SmartLink app to Amazon Alexa to control your spa by voice commands.
The SmartLink app also has multi-lingual support automatically displaying English, French, German, Dutch and Spanish based on phone locale.

Benutzerbewertung
Die App ist in Vereinigte Staaten noch nicht bewertet.
Well this isn’t for you. My router confirms the module is connected to the internet, but the app just always says the spa is offline - so the app is the only thing stopping me from accessing the module. What a disappointment.
Mediocre app
App seems to function and hey, it’s better than having to negotiate the rather awful interface on the spa control panel. Either way could be better with more routines etc. in addition I saw it was compatible with Alexa and hopeful to add automation, unfortunately not so. It would be great if there were further investment in this app, there are many API for power providers now with solar power and wholesale, this could be great if a product owner was to drive it forward
Mqtt is great
Love the addition of MQTT but unfortunately I am unable to set sleep timers without the app crashing and changing the time in the app has no effect. No easy way to flag these issues and report to developer.
Hopeless!
App support is non existent. App is now crashing as I’m opening it - can’t get it to open to try anything. Strange how developer responders haven’t responded in a year to anyone. I’ve had to do a “hot” reconnect every single day to connect for 10 days. Now can’t open the app. Absolutely ridiculous! This app is so unstable I can’t even log in again to set it all up again after crashing. Says my email is invalid - a gmail I’ve had for 15 years and it used to recognise. Seriously, isn’t there some other way to control my spa?
Aug 24 App update slow to connect and respond
I too agree with recent review around the connectivity and performance since the app upgrade. The GUI is good but maybe the data string is not optimal for wifi connectivity causing the connection issues which was not an issue before the upgrade.
Still issues with feature setting taking effect with only Turing pump on and off quick to respond.
The app and experience is going backwards and costing me more electricity unfortunately
Getting Better
Making sure the firmware on the Spanet side was up to date fixed my connection issues. I still get errors when trying to change settings but logging out and back in does the trick. I’d like to see more options to change the temp on a schedule. Keeping the spa at 33 for most of the week and uping to 38 on demand helps keep my heating load during solar hours. I’ve created an Alex routine to do this for me but ideally it would be in the app.
App showing spa offline
Very frustrating app constantly showing spa offline. This appears to be a common issue for quite some time, which has not been addressed. Please fix this issue!!!!
Good system why all the negativity?
May 2024 edit:
We’ve now been using the spa and App for 3 months since the spa was installed. My review below is still valid, I’ve never had to manually reset the system or power off/on (not even once) to reconnect it after it goes offline. It always is reconnected in 20 mins or less.
Also our spa is kept at about 38/39 Celsius by managing daily through the app, downtimes, sleep times, restricted heat times, setting the temp down and then up at the appropriate times which we do voluntarily and the app helps make it easy. The reason we do it is because our new electricity provider only charges the market rate for power and it’s up to us to ensure high energy devices are off, or in a low power mode, at peak cost times. The result is that our electricity bill has gone down 40% since before the spa was installed as our other high energy devices are better timed too.
Without this app we couldn’t manage it so well, so it deserves more praise than I initially gave.
Feb 2024 below
I got my spa delivered a week ago. They directed me to this app and I was instantly bothered by the many poor reviews and worried that my expectations were too high for what WiFi control of the spa could offer. I now feel compelled to write my own review because my experience all week has been great so I feel many of these reviews must be undeserved and putting others off unfairly. Many options for controlling timers and temps and lights and pumps etc are very programmable on the app (and easier to understand than on the spa control panel) with a good range of options and ways to understand the status of the system as you go along. I’ve been able to manage the settings well all week and am settling into my own preferred long term settings. The spa has gone offline a few times in the week but it’s always regained connectivity soon after without any manual intervention which is what you want for it to be a serious remote management option. I suspect the distance to the router causes this so I’ll bet a lot of reviews are based on routers too far from the spa to be reliable, ie they’re blaming the wrong thing. I noticed I have the V3 system which might also be a factor so if you’re getting V3 and you’re worried like I was, settle down and look forward to a decent system as long as you have a nearby router. Fixable if you don’t, just run a new additional router on a LAN cable to get the wifi closer and you’ll be fine.
Fail
Worst app I’ve ever used
Makes you log in every time
Makes you update for about 15 minutes every time
Still won’t talk to the $400 wifi dongle that is sitting next to the wifi router
Bluetooth connection is used to connect and setup initially than it takes a nose dive from there
Support is- go to the website and good luck from there

I have noted that the app does not help control the temperature of the spa- does this need an update. My pool heats up to 42plus when the set temp is 32 degrees centigrade.
