Since creating a free account, I haven’t received a single message. Potentially interested people aren’t able to reply to your ad until a whole week later. Also, if you try to put your contact number in your ad, they’ll moderate and remove it immediately lol stick to Craigslist folks!

Why would you charge people to look for a room to rent? I can say there are a good amount of people who are just looking for a room cause life can put you in a tight space when you’re figuring things out. I’ve been able to send one message but if a listing is less than 7days old I have to upgrade to get in contact with someone so I can have a roof over my head? That’s pointless for anyone trying to find a long term/temporary solution to their living situation. These people are putting their coin in front of their users’ convenience.

Just signed up and paid a month membership, but I find a bunch of rooms that says not accepting applications and a lot of bungalows smh

When I go to search for rooms and apartments and select location on the next page I see something went wrong

Keeps showing me listings were the lease is pending what is the point

SpareRoom misused my IP and data by banning all of my accounts from my temporary IP because I questioned living with someone who discriminated against me for being heterosexual. SERIOUSLY. This unstable transgender individual (who would have held my security deposit btw) told me that I had to be “queer/trans” in order to move-in, then when I told them that SpareRoom has a feature for preferred biological sex not perceived gender and that they were discriminating against me, they told me to F off basically. I contacted SpareRoom and they’ve ignored all my customer service emails, then that’s when I found out they were blocking my IP. Personally reporting Flatshare Ltd to my congressman today and to the FBI, CIA then following through after. Time to Hunt.

It’s ok. I am still without a place so we’ll see.

I got this app a while back while trying to look for an affordable place to live. But this app is only useful to people who don’t have a budget haha, so if you are on a tight budget and want a room, don’t download. They also don’t update the rooms available. I was looking for a room near me, there weren’t any at all, I waited a few weeks and would check every now and then, there are still no rooms available to rent. So if you are planning on downloading this app and you need a place to rent asap, don’t go for this app. It takes a while to find a room and even longer for anyone to get back to you. Hope this helps!
