Step is a banking app that is supposed to help your credit. But it hasn’t done that for me. It’s kinda hard to set up and once you put money on there there’s no transferring it back like for me I transferred money from cash app and it wouldn’t let me put the money back onto my cash app. And it also take 50 cents anytime you transfer something under $20. I DO NOT TRUST THIS APP. And I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There’s also been money taken from my acc from a service thing across the country from where I live.

this app is not for anyone who needs to pay bills. i added money to my account trying to pay my rent, all of my transactions were getting declined. i was confused so i attempted to move the money to my bank and it also canceled that. Now i still cannot take my money off the app or make any transactions with the card. i’ve tried to contact them within their contact hours and still haven’t had any help. highly don’t recommend.

Loving this app so far. I set up auto-transfers for my teen’s allowance - which is super convenient, but the other benefits of the account have made a huge difference in her understanding of finances. She is enjoying watching the account grow in value and such, has significantly reduced her spend behavior. She has created 2 savings accounts - one for general savings, and another for goal savings (TS tix (she’ll need some help with that one)). She also really likes the plastic. At first, she didn’t want this kind of account because it was a “baby” account, but the black plastic with the option to be metal really appealed to her. Highly recommend!

A few weeks ago step closed my account and put it under review for unknown reasons they put an investigation on me and I still didn’t know the reason, they told me they are shutting down my account and I have to remove all my funds so they can finish shutting it down me still not understanding WHY they shut it down just decided to do what they said and transfer all my funds so I don’t lose them!!! But guess what they are not allowing me to remove my remaining balance at all every time I try sending it to my parents they said we reached a “limit” which isn’t even true because we have tried this for the past 2 months and the amount doesn’t even exceed the limit not only that but even when I try sending it to a linked bank account they only allow me to get money from the account not to send any! I have tried everything I can but they just saying there’s errors or limits they make it so easy the receive the money but so insanely hard to send it away. Another thing is contacting them. They make it so difficult to do so I’ve tried calling them but they don’t even have a phone number!!! The only way to contact is by email which they never reply or by AI text which is very inconvenient and does not help resolve any issues I’ve been working hard for that money and I’m not going to let you guys take it from me that easy! Please reach back to me and help me.

All they do is steal your money and try to spend it at places you didn’t go to

I have gone through at least 4 or 5 cards for each of my kids and every single one has had fraudulent transactions within the six months. This company is obviously either selling the card information or someone inside the company is stealing the card information. Steer clear!!!!!

I love this app and I use this for most of my financial needs. Only thing is, there should be an uncapped amount of savings goals we can have bc people have to budget for a lot of things like rent, clothes, savings, groceries, education, skin care, transportation, new tech, going out to eat, new appliances etc

I’ve been really happy overall but I really hope they create a widget that shows the balance like my other banks have.
