Step: Your World

I love the concept of this app as I’m very foodie and love to find new places to share. However my city (Plymouth) doesn’t register as a city it just comes up as ‘All the rest’ which is verging on offensive 😂 There’s no way to rename guides to fit what you want, and no way to do e.g. ‘North Devon’. You need to be able to create and name your own guides for this app to make any sense !!!!

This all doesn’t really give any value (you can just follow the creators on insta or TikTok and then use Google maps and make lists of the recommendations) and then they make it impossible for you to unsubscribe so it keeps charging you until you email them. Very poor.

Guides are guidless - just here's a place, no info about why. App frequently doesn't load places when clicking on map.

Honestly don’t know where I’d be without Step when it comes to city breaks and more far flung trips- it’s amazing for finding the best local spots for a glass of wine or more off the beaten track art galleries, swimming spots and seafood shacks 🦐

I’ve been using step religiously for a few years now but their recent explore page product updates have made it so easy to find great curators to follow and places to visit, its a game changer! Ive now got all my friends on the app too and having all their recommendations in one place makes traveling / exploring so easy!! Couldn't recommend more…

Great concept, great app - love it. Has a lot of glitches though e.g. my steps keep disappearing which is disappointing.

You cannot see your own steps

Really like the concept, came to download to follow TopJaw and their recommendations. The first two restaurants I’ve come to look at have very incorrect details (eg wrong location or wrong name). Most disappointingly i can’t see any comments stating why a particular place has been added - eg who on TopJaws interviews recommended it and why. This the main reason i downloaded it and I’ve paid to subscribe for no reason now as I could have had better information adding the recommendations from the great TopJaw interviews to my own map directly with a comment. The app could be fantastic but needs some more detail orientation.

An absolute game changer. Made my road trip to the States that much more rich! Cannot recommend it more.

Loving this app! Great to have an app to store all my favourite food spots!
