Awesome ^___^
Great quality, easy to use app, which finally gave me motivation to move 10000 steps every day. Money motivation works the best!
Plus it’s fun ^^ only problem is that it’s compatible with limited number of devices, but if u got Fitbit or Garmin, highly recommend to try.
No need to join membership to join the game!
I do more much more activity tracking since joined. Originally I already had a habit of moving around in work days, but was lazy on weekends. Well, no more lazy Saturdays for me ^^
Steps won’t sync
Steps won’t sync and now the app won’t load. Tried everything. Giving up
Annoying Customer Support
Have been doing these for years. Just got a new watch for Christmas and I guess steps had an issue syncing between my health app/the step bet app and I got booted out of two games. When I emailed customer support to resolve, the were absurdly unhelpful. They apparently didn’t trust my screenshots from the health app and required screen recorded videos that ended up being too large to email. Super annoyed.
Glitchy
The app is glitchy, inconsistent. If you are trying to complete steps in the evening, the updates did not work for sometimes over and hour. Close to midnight, you can’t tell where you actually are with steps and then it resets and you miss goals. Wasted money participating!
So glitchy
I frequently have to power down my phone and restart to get the app to open! Today I can’t get it to open at all. When it is open it very rarely lets me post to the game feed. It gives me the option but won’t actually post. I am going to delete it and re download it, fingers crossed it works.
Great customer service!
Not only is the game a great motivator to keep you moving, customer service is wonderful. They respond quickly and help to resolve problems. I very much appreciate it!
Steps not syncing and holding payout
I’ve used StepBet in the past and thought I would do it again. It DOES NOT sync accurately with the Apple Watch. My step count was off by thousands each day. Also, they are holding almost $150 of my payouts because I have a different email address for PayPal. I would never use this app again. It’s caused me so much stress when the reason I was doing it was to relieve stress and move more.
Archive Option
I love this app and everything it’s helping me and others do but I really wish there was an archive feature. I do not want to scroll past 20 past games to get to the ones I am currently in. You should be able to just slide left or right and “archive” but that’s not an option. Going to my profile and choosing past games doesn’t even show anything either. If this changes I will update to 5 stars.
No customer service help
My apple health is not synching correctly to the app and because of it I’ve been disqualified from the game I was in. I have sent multiple emails to the support team and no one has emailed back to help me fix the step sync error. I will never use this app again and will discourage my friends and families from using it.
Big improvement area
Great motivator, but I wish they would do payouts in something other than PayPal, especially with PayPal now withholding income tax if you withdraw more than $600 a year. With StepBet most of what we earn was our initial bet, so we’re essentially getting taxed twice for that money- once when we earned it from our jobs, and again when we withdraw it from PayPal. Adding other money transfer apps like Cash App or Apple Cash, or receiving it on our original payment method would increase many people’s satisfaction.
