God app til prisen
Fungerer godt.

Streaks is good overall, although the UI is non-standard as not as intuitive as it could be. The ONE thing that keeps me from truly using it, is that it's seemingly only possible to track binary habits?? As in: "you did it today... or not". You can't track something a la: "number of push-ups done today" or "hours worked towards goal X" Really??? 🤷🏻♂️ So, for that I have to use an old app called Force of Habit that does it well. Would be nice if Streaks would implement such a basic, essential (!) method of building habits. It's also way too easy to "fall off the waggon" with habits that are 100% binary. As an example: "Do 30 push-ups per day" breaks the streak if you one day only do 25 push-ups. On the other hand, if your habit said "Push-ups per day" I know from my own experience that I'll some days do 40, 50, or more, push-ups. And the next day want to outdo myself, by doing more. It's a more forgiving way to build habits, because you don't "break the chain" if you one day don't quite reach your goal. You could f.e. be down with flu, but still feel you're "doing the job / putting in the effort" by at least doing 5 push-ups, before going back to bed. – What matters is you're _doing your best_ – right? Which leads me to the following point: Some days you feel like doing MORE than usual. But if your habit in Streaks is a conservative "do 30 push-ups per day" you'll feel less inclined to do 40 or 50. Cos you're still "on paper" in Streaks checking/ticking off that you've done 30. Cos Streaks is Binary... 😏🙄 Fact is, it's more motivating when it matters HOW much effort you put in.
Been using Streaks for years to improve upon my productivity and habits and it really works. The design is intuitive and the possibilities are endless and detailed to stay on top of your game and productivity. Highly recommended!
I can’t get use to the UX and the terrible inconsistency between phone and watch.
Alarms could be done better - inconsistent on Apple Watch
Fantastisk app. Så længe man sætter realistiske mål, er den perfekt til at holde en i ørene
I’ve been using Streaks for years. The best habit tracker I’ve tried!
I've been using the iOS version of Streaks for years and it's great. The macOS version is dangerous in its current version, though. It has a bug that created millions of tiny files in a temporary directory, locking me out of my computer. I had to spend hours diagnosing the problem and eventually found Streaks to be the culprit. The temporary directory created by Streaks had to be removed using macOS Recovery Mode. Hint: Look for com.streaksapp.streaks in /private/var/folders if this happens to you.
I was super excited when I purchased this, and I also submitted a 5 star review. That was 6 months ago. Now, whenever I look at it, I feel a bit stupid. I think most of us have 'habit issues' at some level. So, when an app comes along and promises to help, we get excited because, subconsciously, we imagine that the app is going to do what we haven't been able to do ourselves. We imagine our new, improved selves, and our brains are flooded with dopamine in anticipation of this bright future. But it doesn't work like that. The app can't change your habits, only you can. At the end of the day, I have not managed to stick to a single one of the habits I've listed in Streaks. It's not the app's fault as such. It's just plain phychology. Installing the app is no different from making New Year's resolutions - and we all know how well they work. My advice: Write your goals / habits on a piece of paper and stick it somewhere where you will see it all the time. That constant reminder is going to be a lot more effective than an app, which, after a while, you'll mostly likely just start ignoring. And, in fact, when you start to fail at your 'streaks', you'll experience negative cognitive feedback, which is counter productive because 'failure' is demotivating. Pen and paper going forward! Good luck :-)
