Still waiting for an update that works with recent OS.

I’ve been using the very buggy and generally lame Bluesound app that doesn’t even show top tracks for Qobuz or let you use phone buttons for volume. This app works great. No bugs/restarts and doesn’t get in the way. No reason for its rating to be this low.

The app is barebones. The basic functionality works, lack of watch support is a dealbreaker however.

It is impossible to configure the StreamMagic app to resemble the screenshot images in this AppStore page. And it has never been possible. When opening StreamMagic on iPhone 15 Pro (or any other model, iPhone 8, 13, others, I’ve tried a bunch) the useless “What’s New” carousel takes up the entire middle of the screen. NOT SHOWN IN THIS APPSTORE PAGE. There is no way to get rid of this abomination of product marketing self adoration. What we want: Tell us what’s new when there is something new in an app or device firmware update. Then never again. If we do want to go back in history, we’ll go to the settings page and will expect to find release notes there. As a result of this atrocious design that even the product marketing team hides from the AppStore screenshots, I don’t use this app. I use Roon and Tidal Connect to avoid ever opening StreamMagic. FIX THIS. DO IT NOW.

Cambridge EVO150 got me into streaming music listening although some of them debating for music quality for streaming. EVO150 has all for me to enjoy streaming music. Million musics available thru music service which got me dig in for older albums I remember in young age. You don’t have to look for old vinyl records. Its on my finger tips. Only hope is some day Cambridge can integrate Apple Music application will be nice. Currently using HDMI input from TV set or Apple play to streaming which can degrade the digital quality.

Have tried using app on both my personal and work iPhones and both disconnect from unit all the time and will not reconnect unless you perform the entire “install new device” procedure from the beginning. Unit continues streaming and remains connected to wifi but cannot be controlled with app. Have been discussing this with Cambridge tech support via email over a week now. Have tried numerous remedies to resolve issue all centering around my network. They are trying their best to blame my network even though all my other wireless systems (Alexa, echo, Roomba, others) and their associated apps work flawlessly. They refuse to believe it’s their issue (either faulty app or faulty unit) and are constantly trying to deflect from the fact that it’s their product that could be at fault.

App is ok. I just got an evo 150. But, to be competitive in this space Cambridge Audio really needs to add playlist creation and support. It’s not really competitive with other options in this space without this feature.

Frustrated cxn100 customer here. Love the app when it works but spend 30% of my time frustrated when it won’t allow me to connect to Tidal. I restart, I shut the app down, I do the updates, I unplug and plug back in. Yeah… this has me regretting my purchase. I keep hoping it will get better… thank goodness for a CD player or I’d have nothing to listen to. 2 stars for when it works.

The app used to work. Not anymore. I can no longer connect to my CXN V2 nor my MXN10. I can still airplay to the MXN10, no longer to the CXN. Same lack of connection on my phone and my tablet. Both used to work fine. These problems started when the icon for the app changed. Now I have to decide to keep the hardware in its hobbled state or switch to something that works. Not sure what that would be. Very disappointing. Especially since I actually recommended Cambridge to my friends. Not anymore.

The latest release will not run on iOS 12.5.7. How do I re-install the previous release? Or is there a fix available? Update 3/13/2024: Contacted Cambridge support weeks ago. They acknowledged the problem but have offered no solution. Only seem to be interested in pushing their new cxn100 product.
