App is ok. I just got an evo 150. But, to be competitive in this space Cambridge Audio really needs to add playlist creation and support. It’s not really competitive with other options in this space without this feature.

Frustrated cxn100 customer here. Love the app when it works but spend 30% of my time frustrated when it won’t allow me to connect to Tidal. I restart, I shut the app down, I do the updates, I unplug and plug back in. Yeah… this has me regretting my purchase. I keep hoping it will get better… thank goodness for a CD player or I’d have nothing to listen to. 2 stars for when it works.

The app used to work. Not anymore. I can no longer connect to my CXN V2 nor my MXN10. I can still airplay to the MXN10, no longer to the CXN. Same lack of connection on my phone and my tablet. Both used to work fine. These problems started when the icon for the app changed. Now I have to decide to keep the hardware in its hobbled state or switch to something that works. Not sure what that would be. Very disappointing. Especially since I actually recommended Cambridge to my friends. Not anymore.

Lastest release Feb 1, 2024 crashes

The latest release will not run on iOS 12.5.7. How do I re-install the previous release? Or is there a fix available? Update 3/13/2024: Contacted Cambridge support weeks ago. They acknowledged the problem but have offered no solution. Only seem to be interested in pushing their new cxn100 product.

App appears not to connect with CXN100

Attempting to connect using iPad. Downloaded the app, used Ethernet chord to connect CXN100 to network, CXN showed connected. Assured both iPad and CXN were on the same network. Used the wired connection option. App cannot find the device. Bluetooth option not available either. Tried factory reset. Same result. Integrated power amp when using same Ethernet connection has no problems. Please, any ideas?

Love the CXN V2 but need to return it due to the Stream Magic app

User experience is so important, especially with the amount of competition in the streamer space. I truly love the sound of this streamer and how it pairs with the CXA81, but the app is serviceable at best. Navigation is clunky getting around the Quobuz section. I have it hardwired to a NAS and my music shows up fine using the dial on the unit, but via the app there is "no content" so I cannot use the app to play anything other than streaming. Really disappointing. You guys HAVE to put some real work into this app to stay current and make the user experience fun, intuitive and easy.

Please fix the track slider bar. On multiple devices it wants to slide the entire screen when you move the track slider to jump to a section in the song. Please create a “dead spot” around the track bar that only lets your touch change the track playing position !!

I just received my CXN V2 on 10/27 and everything worked perfectly. It was odd that every time I opened the app I had to get a link sent to my email to login but it worked. I subscribed to TIDAL with no issues. Then on 10/29 the app will not connect to the CXN. I have went through Cambridges troubleshooting tree with no results. This includes restarting every thing I own basically. I reinstalled apps factory reset CXN. I am emailing with them but so far it’s what I expect. It’s your wifi or anti virus or sun spots. This Cxn is going back if I can’t relive this in the return window.

This app is just OK. It could be a lot more if Cambridge thought about it more deeply. I don’t know if the limitations on programming availability are limitations of the hardware—in my case a CXNv2— or limitations of the software or firmware. For instance, I should be able to access Apple Music, podcasts, Audible content, and other services available online. Given that Spotify, Internet radio, Qobuz, etc are available. I don’t know why there isn’t more available. (Of course this could also be a legal/licensing limitation for which Cambridge probably can’t be blamed. That may be an intellectual limitation of their legal department.) It would also be helpful if this app had more robust ability to control the Cambridge audio devices. That functionality seems limited.
