Knee Improvement
Sword fitness is allowing me to improve my personal wellness. After just 7 sessions, I’ve improved my flexibility and strength and there is more to go!
So far the advice has been exactly what I’ve needed even when my back acted up, we pivoted a slight adjustment with some mild stretches and progressing again!
Feeling better
I am sore but it’s a good sore I have been very diligent about making time for exercising. It has definitely helped. I also like the immediate feed back that I am doing he exercises correctly
Amazing!
I cannot say enough about this program. Geared specifically for me, but in the privacy of my own home, a responsive and friendly physical therapist literally at my fingertips…and, most importantly, RESULTS! It just doesn’t get any better.
Great Physical Therapy
I really enjoy this Physical Therapy at home it really helps with my discomfort.
Excellent live saving tip
It is excellent for living a healthy pain-free life. I hope I will be able to use this tool as I progress and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The tips/short videos are amazing!
Pedantic.
While the app is a good way to do physical and occupational therapy without the drive to a clinic, it really, and I mean REALLY, needs different user level settings. I’m an educated 59 year old man accomplished in my career. I do not need a “Tickle Me Elmo” experience. I want the exercises with direct instructions without the canned encouragement, “let’s make it a great week rah-rah, or endless messages from the app. Separately, I’m also confused as to why we need to strap on sensors when there are several workout apps that read your body movements through a phone or tablet camera. Is this old tech or for some reason better tech?
Concerns
I signed up for the program for my shoulder, maybe a little to soon after my procedure, they sent me the kit to start therapy. I was directed to send it back due to time frame I had to wait in between surgery and my follow up appointment. I have my follow up appointment tomorrow and I spoke to my representative through the chat. She instructed me to fill out the questionnaire again to restart the program. When I I went to the app and tried filling out the questionnaire it wouldn’t work. I attempted 3 times to submit the form and to no avail was I able to take it. I kept on getting an error message. Could someone call me about getting the device being sent back to me ? I tried to do a chat with the pt that I was assigned to and it won’t let me connect with them anymore. My phone number is (224) 558-3087.
Thanks,
James Musselwhite
App gets stuck
When I open an are of the app, like, messages from my therapist or lessons in the “Academy”, I don’t see any way to navigate back to the app’s home page. I have to shut down the app and reopen it to get back to the home page. The content is fine, but this navigation issue is annoying. I’m using the app on an iPhone 12, in case that’s relevant
Physical therapy at your convenience
I appreciate how I can complete my physical therapy at various times of the day, each day, to be able to fit this into my busy schedule.
I also feel motivated to do this every day for the convenience and also knowing these exercises are getting me back to my normal self. Usually when you go into see a physical therapist, they only work the “bad” arm or leg, etc. After I complete my session, I will repeat exercises on the opposite limb, to get a balanced session ( by memory and not following along with the sensors). It’s hard to do that when you go in to the therapist’s office.
It helps keep me accountable also knowing my physical therapist is aware of my progress. I like also that I can reach out to them and they will get back to me, though sometimes it does take a little bit, they always get back to me, and are more than helpful in answering any questions or any concerns that I have. Even going the extra mile offering resources from the site that I didn’t realize were there. I appreciate this program better than going to see a physical therapist in person.
The only negative is that sometimes the sensors don’t track properly. It has happened with one exercise where, no matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to track the movement. I skipped it, and after my physical therapist tried giving me some cues, I tried again and she finally just removed it and replaced it with something that would be just as effective for my rehabilitation. Also, I’ve had to adjust the sensor by my wrist for certain movements since it would read weaker than what I was doing, but I figured it out and just adjust slightly for that movement. No biggie! I’m so glad that this is available!
My personalized exercises
Since I started my physical therapy with Toni’s program, my back ache and right leg pain reduced tremendously. The exercises were modified to more challenging ones as I responded and gave feed backs. I am so happy that I made an decision to start this program. I will continue the therapy as I definitely see it’s helping me! Thank you!
