Taste: Movie & TV Suggestions

Great free app which encourages community engagement and recommends a huge about of films and series. The data on the types of films you watch, etc. is interesting. I’d love to see some more options for filtering the types of things it shows you as currently I believe you can only do this after you’ve swiped/saved. I would also appreciate a way to make custom lists (perhaps for different moods, events, friend groups, or even to keep track of certain franchises). Finally, I think adding a simple spinner tool to help pick films from your saved and matched lists - again with those useful filters - would be a great quality of life upgrade. I’m very interested and hopeful for the further development of this app. I think the current pricing is reasonable if you wanted to go premium, but I would need to see a few more features added before I consider it. I really wanted this app to work but I ended up finding it confusing. I don’t understand what it means to swipe left or right. After contacting the developers, I got no response. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not really sure how the algorithm works. My New Matches and Top Matches sections haven’t really changed a great deal (and I’ve been rating shows constantly) and I’ve found there to be too many TV series recommended to me as opposed to films. That said it’s been useful to find stuff I couldn’t have watched otherwise.

Everything’s great, but I wish we could see ratings/reviews of the people we follow on the films page.

I’m a huge film fan so having an app where all the films I’ve seen are in one place and I’m then given recommendations off these films is amazing, I’ve found so many great films using this app. It makes giving film recommendations to friends super easy too. Only things I would add, and it would be amazing if you could add this is a “top 10” films for your profile to see people’s top 10 and please please change the rating system to have 5 options instead of 4. Maybe having amazing, great, good, meh and awful got so many films hovering between amazing and good

Really good app to keep track of movies and TV shows watched and a way to get recommendations for others. Recently I have noticed that there is foreign languages mixed in with English language reviews so it makes it difficult to review reviews.

Could be better, but it’s pretty decent. No major complaints.

Some people like Insta, Tik thing, MetaBook & Twitter. All mad as a crazy loon locked up with Jack Nicholson and Nurse Ratched. Others on here prefer to share views and advice on how to while away a few Hours watching and experiencing drama, action, humour and trepidation. A brilliant app that will change how to consume films and TV. Well Done.

The app is great and has helped me find lots of recommendations- however, they need to change the 4 options to score a movie as it causes confusion for some people in way of describing. Would be better to rate a movie /10 rather than have to call it awful / meh / amazing. Some films / docs don’t fall into that. Also there is a lot of movies missing from the database which can be annoying as you have to send them the data yourself to help keep THEIR app running.

When ever i save movies or tv shows they dont go into my saved tab , its just always empty
