TaxCaster: Tax Calculator

For most regular people, taxes are taxes. Tax Caster does not include Social Security taxes in it's calculations, so ordinary tax payers may be surprised once they do their real taxes. I think this is a miss. Another miss is not including hone sales in the estimations, as this event is likely to happen for 65 percent of the population at some point.

Missing: K-1 income, EV tax credits or any tax credits.

Where is it? Would be nice to have by June or even earlier. Please update it!!!!

My tax caster keep showing 2021 levels and has not updated.

This asks the most basic items and most common deductions, things one can easily calculate on a napkin! Only if you are very VERY new to taxes this might be useful, barely.

They said they were updated to the 2022 tax year, but it still says 2021, and about time they updated it to the 2023 tax year.

My husband and I are over 65 and would love to use this tool. However, when it starts by asking for my birthdate by having me backspace 67 years x 12 months = 804 instead of just typing it and I have to start over if I stop for some reason and then ask the same for my spouse, it is just insulting and lazy on the part of the software designer. I wonder what else doesn’t work properly. Why waste my time?

Needs updated to 2023 tax laws..

Dependent credit is doubled, after the last update.

Way far from my actual refund . Estimate was 4-5 times more than what I will get ? Something is wrong ….
