This app sucks. No one actually reaches out to you, they just cancel your appointment and tell you it’s because they couldn’t reach you. Very disappointing.
I have been on blood pressure prescriptions for over 25 years and have been renewing them through Teladoc ever since I lost my physician to retirement in 2021. Until today, it has never been an issue to renew these prescriptions through Teladoc, however, the physician that called for my appointment refuses to renew given a Teladoc policy of only renewing two 30 day prescriptions per year. I am deeply disappointed in this service to say the least.
While the services are good. The app itself needs a lot of work. Presently, I forgot my password. The reset link brings me back to the App Store. So i don’t know how that’s supposed to help. Now I can’t reset my password without calling? The other issue is with setting appointments. I tried to setup a call with a doctor regarding my son. The wait was an hour later than what they said. But also the appointment somehow was for myself? I know for a fact that I selected myself. The doctor on the call couldn’t help with the issue for my son but told me she heard of this happening sometimes.
Absolutely useless. Consistently can’t help with anything related to general medicine. What’s the point of even “offering” the service?
Every provider I’ve spoken to on this platform have been very short and dismissive. They don’t care to explain anything and it feels like they just want to rush you out of the visit. Not worth it, go to a walk in or use virtual care when/if possible.
Helpful app, I wish there was a copy of prescriptions sent to my Teladoc account as I have had problems with prescriptions not being faxed to my pharmacy.
Went through a long questionnaire to set up a consultation, only to be told at the very end that this visit will cost $240 and I need to add my credit card details. This is more expensive than me going directly to a provider. There was no warning before beginning that this would be a “for fee” service, rather than being included with my benefits plan. Unlikely to attempt to use this app again.
Booked appointment one at 12pm, nobody showed up in the waiting room. Then booked again at 4, still there is no one to provide consultation. Never gonna use the app.
Scheduled a telephone appointment for treatment for bronchitis. Received the call, only to be told the doctor would call three hours later. …It’s now been 7 hours, and I have yet to receive a call. I am wondering if the my appointment well threw the cracks, but there’s no way to know because the app doesn’t have a chat or contact option to follow up.
