… so that again this morning i am offered only yesterday’s puzzles. i have to log out and back in again - sometimes, if freezes at this stage - as it did today - and i have to delete it and download from the App store again. i only do crosswords and the old site (which you just closed down) was much better user experience.
Paid for annual subscription. It worked a few months then said trial over and demanded I subscribe again! No means of communicating with them. No way of getting refund. It is a complete rip-off. Avoid.
Was solving a puzzle a few days back when the whole app reset and the game I was playing just disappeared. When I finally resolved the crashed app (I had to delete on my iPad then download and log in) all the archive games have vanished. Where have they gone?
When playing sudoku you have to wait for the selection to change when pressing on the different boxes which is pretty annoying
Streaks simply do not synchronise across app and newspaper or PC and iPad and there is no offline result update when internet connection restored resulting in lost streaks or repeated incomplete games to the point that solve rate is incorrect. Whilst totally irrelevant to survival of the species the fact that I am tracked every moment of the day by IT systems you would expect the collected data to be the same across all platforms especially for a PAID subscription. 2 stars as puzzles are OK
good puzzle app but recently it constantly (at least once a day) requests that you restore your purchase. Very annoying! Have uninstalled and reinstalled app but makes no difference.
I pay a monthly subscription through Apple. Following a recent update every time I want to use the app I have to go through several screens inviting me to start a trial or log in and explaining how the app works. Very annoying.
Find this the best app for UK based/spelt crosswords and so on. One minor recent glitch - have to “restore app purchases” each time I open?
Whilst the puzzles are great, as you’d expect from the Telegraph, the app itself glitches quite often. At the moment, every time I open the app it asks me to start a 14 day trial. I can reauthorise my purchase and I get access, but it’s a pain the Aristotle to have to do this every time I open the app. I have deleted and reinstalled and that hasn’t worked.
Both on the app and when linked to the newspaper, it works a few days then goes blank. I have to keep reinstalling and it loses my data. Very annoying.
