Like the puzzles but the app constantly freezes and won’t work

Both on the app and when linked to the newspaper, it works a few days then goes blank. I have to keep reinstalling and it loses my data. Very annoying.

Great app

This app has become part of my morning ritual. Coffee, toast and half an hour on the Telegraph puzzles. All the puzzles are pitched at a good level - challenging but not impossible. All in all, a great app, good value for money and highly recommended.

Does everything badly

While the puzzles are generally very good, this app is anything but. Finding old puzzles in the archive is clunky (if you select the wrong puzzle and exit it, you get dumped back at the main menu, with all options as to date and puzzle type reset). Worse is the way it handles linked clues in the cryptic crosswords (those whose answers are spread across multiple clues). You can only see the clue when you are on the first one, and when entering the answer it will jump not to the next linked clue at the end of the previous clue so you can continue with the answer, but rather to the clue that is next on the list numerically. The only explanation is that the developers are not crossword fanatics. But who needs functionality when you get a cartoon of a lady waving a flag every time you finish a puzzle?

Poor words in panagram and no easy download.

Ridiculous, American style words for genius Scrabblers. All I wanted was the quick crossword and the cryptic automatically downloaded as per the newspaper before to complete offline. When my puzzles app comes up for renewal, I will cancel it rather than paying a penny for it.

Doesn’t work properly when off line

Doesn’t save puzzles when off line on an iPad. In the newspaper, when puzzles were downloaded, they could be accessed easily. In the ‘improved app’ which is now paid for as an extra charge and is in fact a puzzles downgrade, the puzzles are not retained and infuriatingly, can’t now be accessed off line. We appear to live in a world where extra charges are applied cynically and are advertised as ‘improvements’ or ‘…for our benefit’. The Telegraph should serve its customers rather better than that.

Have to restore purchase every time!

Puzzles are great, the app has a problem in that I have to restore my purchase every time I open the app - so really tedious.

Frustrating App

The content of the app keeps disappearing & I have to keep deleting the app & reinstalling it before it will work again. Also, sometimes the clues disappear & sometimes it won’t allow me to type in answers.It’s very annoying & frustrating & I wish the tech guys would hurry up & fix all the problems or go back to having the puzzles within the paper.

Good - but could be better

Great daily puzzles and weekly competitions, but have to regularly delete the app and reload. This is the only solution to the ‘white page’, when no puzzles download. Fix this issue and it’s 5 stars from me.

No longer functional

I’ve also been using this app and really enjoying it for about 15 months, but now it won’t load or seem to recognise that I am subscribed.

Reload everyday

For some reason on my iPad Pro , I have to delete and reload the app everyday to get it to work other it’s the blank screen and something went wrong try again message
