TenantApp Properties For Rent

So first time renting in edinburgh for a number of years. Almost driving me to quit trying as the market is ruined by this app. It’s an inflexible way of doing things and generally horrible, trying to find a home here not a small generic off the shelf product. All this does is enable terrible estate agents who know nothing. Also got some real concerns of gdpr with at least one of the agents involved. Don’t move to edinburgh until this app is removed from the market Also doesn’t actually work, books a viewing then vanishes Will be using good old phone call and email now

Nothing listed in areas where other apps have plenty of properties listed

Applies to app on phone: App glitches out often and makes me relogin and reset my preferences. Also on map view when I click a property to view it often does not actually take me to that property and I then have to manually search for the street name.

There’s never an available viewing slots despite the advertisement being published in few seconds, this app is a complete waste of time I hope agencies figure out a better approach in organizing viewings.

Constantly sends validation codes but never completes process. So I am registered on system but can never complete process. Cat ch 22 anyone?

I have found such good use in TenantApp and really appreciate it when it does work. The ability to filter properties by when viewings are available is invaluable and I can’t recommend it enough for that feature since booking viewings is so tedious through other means that I find TenantApp works best for this and would would not find elsewhere nearly as fast. I have come across a couple of issues though which make the user experience quite frustrating. I am searching for properties in Edinburgh and since I started my search, my desires for location have developed and I’d like to include more areas in my search. Whenever I opt to update my preferences or even select the “filter” to expand my search, the app crashes and I am forced to renter my phone number to get back on. Since this cycle repeats, I’ve never been able to update my search area. (Unless I enter the app without my account “Continue without login” which then doesn’t allow me to book viewings as I then need to sign in and the issue repeats). Additionally, I have opted for biometric sign-in, which has never registered. In the last 50 times I’ve used the app, I have never been prompted with any biometric sign-in (all permissions are allowed for this app). When using the map feature of the app, it will show me the first or second property I select, but any after that, it freezes and I am forced to shut down the app, re-login (with phone number) and re-enter the map to maybe have it work again. When toggling through the Activity tab, I also noticed the app would crash if I tried to select “hide” on any properties that were no longer available. Forcing me to re-login to continue my search. When the app is operating, it is a godsend and I hope these bugs can be fixed as it would be such a helpful tool for renters to have during their property search.

A great idea but the app is frustrating to use. It requires users login every time a new page is accessed. For example, changing the search criteria. Makes the app unusable.

Dear developers. Please try using your own app and not lose your marbles. It signs out automatically, the sign in method cannot be changed even though there is an option. Why would you need a security code for an app that only connects the user to the letting agent? Why does communication happen through email and not through the app? Why do i have to fill out the same forms of personal info when i want to book a viewing for different flats only to find that there are no times available or the property is already under offer at the end of it? Why do i have to book a viewing through the agent after i book a viewing through the app? That is only the beginning of it and i have only used it for a few days. Awful and shameful. It feels like an unfinished product rushed to the market but offering no additional benefits. Only installed it because of a specific agency was using it. Deleting it now with joy

None of the ‘book viewing’ links sent from agents work with this app. It’s permanently stuck on loading the content. Then, as others also pointed out, the search functionality doesn’t work so you also can’t find the property manually

The search functionality is broken. Search for all properties returns a list of properties smaller than a “filtered” search, I.e. a search for properties that are available for me to move in within the next 7 days returns more results. This is clearly wrong. The number of viewings available is always 0… perhaps this is because it’s so popular. But I doubt that. When you request more times available, you get an automated response from the letting agent to “book a viewing” which then returns you to the website version to tell you again “no viewings available”. Yeah, thanks for that! I rang one of the letting agents and they said there was indeed viewings available and booked me in for one. As a software engineer myself, I love the idea of doing everything in the app. But there seems to be no quality assurance with this and the functionality is not even tested. Disappointing, especially when some letting agents insist on using this app!
