Fake profiles
Lots of fake profiles or inactive profiles, absolute time wasting. I spent a few weeks to test the prospects before paying for the membership and noticed it s not worth the money and time.

Waste
What an absolutely ridiculous app….who in their right mind would pay £800 to be able to see who has “liked them”. That’s also not including the £99 subscription for just ONE WEEK…who makes these prices up!?! Don’t bother wasting your time on this app
You can wait weeks to be accepted. After it I could like someone only for the first 3 days. Now I can do nothing.
The app isn’t working well: the waitlist is too long, referral links don’t work, signing in to LinkedIn has unresponsive buttons. Also, signing in to LinkedIn blocks existing contacts - what if that’s not someone’s absolute goal? Thanks.
So the app takes a frustratingly long time to accept you as a member. This is to try and filter you out and make sure you are a top prospect. However there seems to be a huge imbalance as the prospects that are sent to me either live miles away or are simply not what I would call elite. They other problem is they try to push the ladies who look like models - ultimately who will be out of my league so there is a massive mismatch. They only send three prospects per day. This just doesn’t work. It might if they were local, had similar interests etc then perhaps. Additionally women don’t tend to search for men. They set up the profile and sit back whilst hundreds of messages reach them from men and they take their pick. So like all apps this one is also flawed. Then there is the big one. In order to do anything with this app (navigation is not intuitive) then be prepared to hit the big money. However if your going to spend this k d of money you are better off joining an elite dating agency who will be so much better in actively searching and arranging by dates with people who will be a good match. The idea behind this app is good but the people on it can be found on tinder and bumble. Certainly not the app and quality of people it portrays. A real shame.
It’s like a ghost town. They advertise lots of people available, but in reality there’s very few active users. When you do get a match there’s often radio silence. It’s bad for your mental health, nobody talks or communicates. The pace is very slow, wait till 5pm to like people and then wait for matches. Sad because it’s a good idea but doesn’t work. It’s a numbers game at the end of the day. This is just a scam
I saw The League advertised on Instagram and the idea of a velvet-rope type dating app that promises a better quality of prospects (as all members have to be checked and approved before they can join), appealed to the snooty side of me. I liked it even more when I was approved within 24 hours. Once I was in, the app proved difficult to navigate and very unintuitive, but I persevered. I read all the messages from the ‘Concierge’, who seemed very keen to point out she was a real person, but who made me feel really embarrassed for engaging with her as it quickly became apparent she’s just an AI salesbot. The quality of the three daily dates they suggested was - to be mean but honest - average. And not at all compatible. Every day, they got worse. This leads me to believe there are very few users on the app. Of course, I could upgrade to get more suggested dates a day, or to search for others, but get this - the cheapest membership is… wait for it… £94.99 A WEEK OR £269.99 A MONTH! AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE IS £2499.99 A MONTH!!! I kid you not. You read this correctly. Even an oil state sheik would wince at paying this, especially as the dating pool of prospects is so shallow. So, in summary, if you want an app that’s difficult to use, has a very small pool of users and potential dates, and requires you to remortgage your house to find a match, this app is absolutely perfect. For the rest of us, avoid it like the plague.
I created an account to see what the app was like, after going through the onboarding process I decided it wasn’t for me but there is nowhere on the app to delete your profile, you have to submit a request to delete it!? Not only that, you can’t take down any information or pictures you’ve uploaded, I’ve had to replace it with black images. I’ve emailed The League twice now to help me delete my account and had no response. Almost feels like a scam that you can’t remove or delete your one information.
Only for a select group, if you were to stay in the waiting line until it's your time, it definitely will be a couple of years. I believe they leave you on the waiting list to get you to pay for their members only which is expensive. So, don't waist your time!
