The Liquor Cabinet

I was interested to try this as it looks like it has promise, but sadly it wouldn’t even let me into the app without either giving it access to my Facebook account or signing up for an account using my email. If one day the developers remove the block so you can “try before you buy” (or part with personal data) then I may give it another go, but in the mean time, there are so many other freely available apps I’m going to try one of those instead.

A good app for all the classic cocktails anyone could wish to reference. Having a diverse liquor cabinet, this was a real help to finding new and interesting cocktails to indulge my worsening alcoholism. However, I notice that a sizeable amount of the recipes are not true to widely accepted versions that one might find in any bar or cocktail enthusiast’s Home. For instance, the recipes for the old fashioned, mint julep and sazerac omit the vital inclusion of sugar. Being a part-time cocktail maker, this intrigued me at first as I had never tried an old fashioned with out sugar, but when I followed the app’s recipe and tried the resultant drink, it was far less superior to one I could make with sugar. If the recipes were altered to correct these inaccuracies, the app would greatly improve, but as it stands, I am somewhat dissatisfied, and slightly cautious to recommend this app to anyone who doesn’t have a basic knowledge of mixology, as if someone was to believe an old fashioned was as bitter as the omission of sugar makes it, they might never attempt to make one again, and that would be a real shame because old fashioneds are great

Why do I have to sign up with my email or Facebook to see instructions for an old fashioned.

Great App, well put together, pictures of cocktails great. A little more info on the method would be good. Could you add ML for the UK audience? Oz or Mls Some demonstration videos would be fantastic as could be used as a training tool for new staff.

My favorite cocktail app but stopped working in mobile version. Now you have to sign up and that process just spins and never finishes successfully. A real shame

Awesome how this app went from a great app to a completely useless app in one update.

This app lasted me all of 60 seconds. It crashed when I tried to make an account to log in with, and then froze on the loading screen when I tried to open the app for a second attempt.

Not working

I searched on Google for home bar apps, and The Liquor Cabinet app appeared on almost every article that I read. I was very excited to try it. But apparently I can’t. However, it won’t let me sign up, and gives me an error message every time I’ve tried. I tried email, as well as signing up through Google or FB, and only the last one told me that it’s still in develop mode, so I should contact the developer if I want access. I also went on their website and tried signing up for their mailing list, only to be told that my email is invalid (it’s not.)

What’s going on with TLC? It hasn’t worked in weeks. Tried deleting and reinstalling and it just sits in a loading cycle, but never opens. Y’all still in business?
