The Lord of the Rings: War

This game when it first came out was pretty solid other than a few things and was overall a great game and I really enjoyed the factions. I loved that you could be pick being either the good or the bad and made it interesting. The building concepts were also good making it unique to your faction. I have come back to the game after 1-2 years and I am sad to say I am dissatisfied. I didn’t think you could make a game worse but it happened. No more factions and now only 3 to choose from making it… bland. The buildings I feel almost lost its touch and the graphics got worse. Unless I’m just not doing it right and I can pick the faction I was in this game is just not good anymore. The game is still cool for what is is though but the old was better

I have played since the beginning and the gameplay now is so slow that it is a chore to sign on and play. It was once a good game and I spent thousands of dollars on it and so deleting was kind of difficult. The developers have continued to degrade the gameplay and what’s left is largely a Chinese corporate grab. It is not faithful to Tolkien’s work either and continues to stray further away from its source as the developers just do as they please make making wholesale changes for no particular reason. Hard pass.

Someone mentioned that this game was pay to win?! you do definitely have to spend on this game to stay relevant! but spending $400 on a mobile game? That’s not pay to win! that’s nothing! Maybe a month or even every couple weeks spending $400 bucks.. again is nothing! I wish I could find a mobile war game and all you had to spend was 400 bucks. I said it before and I’ll say it again. I played over a couple hundred of these games. None of these games are truly for the free to play! To stay relevant anyway! But that doesn’t mean you can’t play for free and still have fun with a good alliance, but you’re gonna have to grind big time! DJ Rocky!

This game is trash, the developers are homophobic. There are daily sexist, homophobic, bigoted comments posted and they won’t do anything about them but if anyone stands up against the bigotry they get a 36 hour ban. Every update brings new bugs. I truly believe the developers are trying to ruin the game so they can just get their bag and run.

This game is to P2W for me I know some people who spent have spend over $400 on the game and they dominate me every time because they have all of the best commanders and equipment I just think this game has to be more F2P friendly please fix😢 🙏

This game is a lot of fun in the beginning. But as the seasons progress the F2P or low-pay to play get completely clobbered by people who spend thousands. Once the players from Asia come, its like you, and all your efforts are as nothing. The whales are unstoppable. Even long time players admit the initial season is the best. Even if you drop more than you should (say a few hundred dollars) you will get utterly wacked by people for whom money is no limit. This obviously earns the game good money, but it also chases away many people who might stay for the strategy, which is excellent.

I’m still learning the new play style now. Everything is so much different than when I left in 2023. The biggest issue though I’ve found is how you can just be completely steam rolled by players who spent 100’s if not 1000’s of $ on the game. And even in a decent fellowship/warband it’s so easy to be landlocked and starved. The pay to wins beat you down and you can’t recover cause you have no resource tiles left. You can’t escape because you are landlocked by the pay to wins. So at the end of the day you spend 50% of the season being annihilated at every corner you turn around. I’m sick of it honestly and I’m considering quitting the game. I have a lot of friends I was going to get into the game with me and play it together. But since nothing is done to truly balance the equation, or make it playable, I think we’ll stick to COD mobile/ or Xbox. It hurts writing all this because I’ve loved the game since day one. I am extremely disappointed in the direction the game has gone. Want my thoughts DEVS? MAKE IT A RANKED SYSTEM!!! Or at least give the choice of a ranked system. So those of us who don’t have a large disposable income can actually enjoy the game.

I played 11 or 10 seasons. This update is unbearable. In 1 hour I can move 6 tiles without resistance watching 10 minute tile timer clocks. Think about it. Take 1 hr of your life and watch your army move 6 little squares. This is how so appalling I cannot believe what they have done to loyal players. Do not play this game. Our 100 strong 7 season warband will disband and go our own ways. Thanks for ruining a great game. I’m furious.
