Won’t connect
I have had the meatstick for a few years now and every time I try to use it I have issues connecting. I have 3 sticks today I can only get one to connect. I would not recommend this product.

Pure junk
My wife got me one for Christmas a couple of years ago. It doesn’t read well through the lid of the pit, and connecting is just the worst. I emailed support, took a week to respond, no help at all. As I finish typing, it will be put in the trash, and I will buy another brand.
Location Always on??
Why on earth does a meat thermometer need location services always on? Not only that but the connection barely ever stays on, I have to reconnect 2-3 time per cook! Interface is fine and helps me with my cooks but there’s for sure better options on the market

Did a good job keeping the temperature just need WIFI
Stop requesting permissions you don’t need
Sick to death of getting popups asking for local network permission. I don’t have a WiFi bridge so I’m not going to give it that access, ever.

Perfect meat all the time. Everyone can have a choice of how they like their meat. This is easy and accurate!
Nothing works
I ordered four of the MeatStick X devices, two charging stands and the WiFi bridge. One of the sticks (green one) arrived defective—it would not charge. One of the charging stands would not do anything but show a green LED. The WiFi extender has a limit of 20 characters on the WiFi password so I had to set up another network for it. The first time I tried to use the product (red stick) the app told me the battery needed charging even though I had put a full charge on it two days before and stored it in the product pouch. Nothing seems to work. I have requested a refund.
Garbage bloated software makes probe useless
I have zero confidence my expensive meatsticks will work when I need them. The software is bloated and a complete disaster. Do not buy anything from this company. And if your stuff is working for the love of God, don’t let it update!!!!

The MeatStick was a very good investment. The only downside was getting everything hooked up once it was all hooked up. It worked like a charm.
Buggy and Very Limited Range
Very pricey sensors and are fairly useless without the range extension. Interface is buggy and complicated.
