Awful app
No functionality, horrible design, no options, awful ir nonexistent syncrinization to the web, imposible to benefit from the price you pay for the subscription. This app would have been bad in the 20th century. Now it is a joke.

The print edition of The New York Review of Books, included in the app, is published 20 times a year. The app also includes all of our online-only content. Articles can be bookmarked for later reading, and the app includes a link to browse our shop, The Reader’s Catalog.
Current print and online-only subscribers receive full access to the app through existing website login credentials (email and password). The app may also be purchased directly through the app store. Purchases made through the app store do not include access to The Review’s website and complete archive.

SUBSCRIBERS’ AUTOMATIC-RENEWAL FEATURE:
Your subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will automatically be charged at the same price for renewal, as stated above, within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Current subscriptions may not be cancelled during the active subscription period, but you can manage your subscription and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.

Horrorosa
Muy mala. No guarda memoria de la última página leída. Cada vez que se accede es como si fuera la primera vez. Hay que volver a abrir el número y buscar el artículo. Tampoco funciona el pase de página.
Brilliant review, lousy app
The greatest periodical in the English language. A must read. But the app is very hard to use. I can find what I want. If I doña search the stars are all mixed up so the first result for an author maybe from four years ago, and as a paying member I expect to have easy access to everything. I don't if I can find things.
Nearly Useless for retrieving older articles
The search function is almost completely useless; you can enter the precise title of an older article and the search menu still won’t find it. Furthermore, subscriptions purchased through the app do not grant access to the website for some unknown reason. NYRB has some excellent articles, but this app is so bad and their policy decisions are so nonsensical that I will never support them again.
Great publication, unusable app
It's almost as if the app developers do not read and still have perfect eyesight: (1) The font-size settings are unusable. (2) The PDFs are good, but the bookmark function doesn't work in them. I could still live with that if I could move the PDF to a better reader, but the files are locked inside the app. (3) The PDF tables of contents entries do not link to the pages on which the articles are, and I don't see a way to jump to a specific page number. (4) Who develops an app with a name that gets truncated on the screen? Do the deciders actually use the app?
Why no kindle?
Sorry but tPad doesn’t do it.

No American publication covers as much ground, whether it’s current events, the arts , literature new and old.
NYR reader app is just okay
There are so many better ways to navigate a PDF document. Please update is app to modern technologies.
Best book reviews in the world.
Always thorough, always thoughtful, always the best. Learn about new books and old ones. The essays are always well written, and very much on point. A truly excellent literary publication.
Huge Improvement
The recent update is a big improvement over the old version. I’m actually using the app more than the website now. The only big issue is the limited font size selection. It’s either tiny or huge.
