I used to love this app. My favorite thing about it was the fact that you could enter a recipe into the app and then email it to someone and a link would be in the email that would automatically load that recipe into their recipe box. I have a few different family members that I liked sharing with and they would send recipes to me but without that link it’s just a pain in the behind. Please put the link back in the email.

Been using Recipe Box for many years and love it! Easy to use and great to access on my phone while shopping. I just hope the developer keeps it current. Would hate to lose this app. Although I think my recipes are backed up, can’t imagine how I’d use them without the app interface. Thanks for a a great app!

I’ve used the app for years. I went to add a recipe since updating and there is no way to toggle between source page or functionality to import. I can only copy and paste by switching apps. Very disappointing.

I have had this app for over three years and it remains the best one going. For those who like to ferret out new and interesting ways to prepare food, this should be the go-to app. The instant import feature enables me to add a complete recipe in under 10 seconds. And, the built-in set of recipe websites lets you find just the right one. The list had many sites I never heard of until I used The Recipe Box's site search capabilities. It does not come with lots of built-in recipes. That's not what it is about. It is about easily and efficiently adding the recipes you find into your single source for the food and drink you like. Want to add your own? You can.

After the automatic update all my recipes are gone!

UPDATE: After EIGHT (8) very long years, this app was *finally* updated and runs on iOS 16+!! I have tried nearly every app available and nothing has ever come close to this one. I even forked out for a MasterChef subscription for a while, but their interface is so kludgey and archaic, I cancelled it. My only concern is whether this app will be supported going forward. I got caught once with all my eggs…er…recipes in one basket, so I am not likely to do that again. I would happily pay for a subscription that includes responsive support and a full, EASY export of the recipes (not just an option to mail them individually or export into a proprietary format). Export feature is a hands down deal breaker to get me to use this app as my primary recipe database. Original review (many many years ago): I absolutely love this app, but it definitely has some bugs. It will often crash while assigning a category in entry view. It happens so often, that I have gotten into the habit of saving the recipe without any categories and then going back in to add them later. The keyboards have a great feature of adding keys for recipe specific needs such as 1/2, 1/4, degree symbol, etc. however, I constantly have to flip between portrait and landscape because the symbols are different on each and because the text doesn't scroll well, so you often can't see what you're typing (esp in landscape mode). Lastly, I am always concerned about having all of my recipes in a proprietary format that is not supported across platforms without an export option. Who knows if I will continue to use an iPad, especially with all of the recent problems with iOS 8 that is making my iPad borderline useless?

I love this app. It’s easy to use the import function, easy to find recipes because of the catagorization feature and easily stores in your mobile devices!

I absolutely love this app; have had on my iPad for over 10 years. Easy to add, edit, email recipes to friends, etc.! Perhaps my favorite thing is looking back at the notes I’ve made on recipes.
