I have used the app for about two Montessori and it is worth biying. The app design is nice and very easy to chokes from. Extra plus is tjat you can seletct two different voices för the meditations.
I’ve found this app immensly helpful. The course is a very good way of learning about compassion while getting to use many helpful tools. I especially liked the voice that narrated the different sessions, and that you could listen to or read each sessions content. I would highly recommend this app for both people wanting to cultivate (self-)compassion but also practitioners who work with clients that struggle with self-critisism. Thank you so much!
Great tool to start your journey into Compassion. I like that the course bits a short and easy to digest and the reflective tasks help to start a process within. Great work!
I really appreciate the app and it is helping to build my self compassion. I log what I am looking forward during my day and log what I am grateful for at the end of my day. I am a mental health practitioner and would recommend this app to anyone whom would like to enhance the compassion that they have for themselves. I have now been using the app for 3 plus years and use it every day. I incorporate my daughter into identifying what she is grateful for each day too.
This app is completely fake it doesn’t help with anything and writing things about what we are stressed about is gonna make us think about it more. I always feel the same and developer just responds with sorry and other stuff. This is a bad app, not recommended.
This has got to be the bleakest app I’ve ever downloaded. It’s almost does the complete opposite of what it states. When you first go into the app, it tells you that you’re going to die. We know. Why do we need a reminder of that when downloading an app about Compassion? For example, in my years of self-destruction, due to trauma, I have found the idea that death is inevitable an excuse for not actually trying. What’s the point of creating all these wonderful things if I’m going to turn to dust one day and be forgotten? An immediate reminder of that made me feel less motivated to be compassionate to myself. Then the first lesson is called “what is compassion”, which then gives a long speech about human suffering. I’m not really sure who this is supposed to appeal to, but it made me feel really demotivated into actually change my life. How am I meant to have compassion when everything is about suffering and eventually death? Just seems like a recipe for apathy. I think the search for self compassion is going to have to be made without this app. Whats the next lesson: Your Cells Are Dying Everyday? A Reminder That Nothing You Do Is Worth Anything? Or Your Nan Will Die And You Will Be Sad? A big fat one out of five stars.
I’ve recently started the 28 day compassion programme and been really impressed. The content is clear and well paced, and includes well structured mix of education, self reflection, and compassion and mindfulness practices. I’m already starting to see improvements through tools like the daily journals and am excited to see how this develops over the rest of the course. I would recommend you give it a go if you’ve found other approaches like CBT have tended to increase self criticism, compassion really helps balance that whilst still allowing you to see loops and patterns that might be holding you back.
Fantastic app so good for mental health in so many ways. I highly recommend
As a coach and teacher of resilience programs I very much value this app and have recommended it to people. It’s helping me personally soothe my own self critical nature. Self compassion is so fundamental to mental health .
