Notifications need sorting
Since the changeover I’m fortunate to not have experienced any of the issues in other reviews
What I don’t understand is the new notifications system, I don’t need to see where i’ve used my card and how much was spent every time I use it, I was there!
What I do miss is the notifications regarding activity between the “available to spend” and “held for bills” so if money was moved from one to the other or if there is a bills shortfall, I know where I’ve used my card so do not need an extra pop up the next day to tell me so
Please do consider making this an option within the notifications settings or just disable card used notifications altogether
Can’t access my statements
The new app is terrible . I’ve emailed them to ask why I can’t access my statements and they give me the same instructions on how to do it but it doesn’t work, they download to nowhere .
It’s just not great at all .
Avoid .
Mess
This new app is a mess. So basic. Took weeks to get working properly. Still can read statement. Never csn get in touch . Waiting times way to long. Looks like I’m gonna be changing banks after over 10 years.
Spectacularly poor downgrade from the older app
I think the title says it all really. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the older app in terms of its usability. The design was clear, unambiguous and lacking nothing. The new one however is a car crash of style (or lack there of) over substance. In and out transactions from both accounts are now combined into one confusing timeline, each being differentiated from each other by icons, whose designs have seeming fallen through a time warp from the early 2000’s. I do understand that there was likely a need to make backend changes to the app for security and maybe new features, but all of them could’ve been done without changing the fundamental basics of a pretty good UI. The whole undertaking just reeks of some over zealous project manager, over promising and underdelivering to higher ups thanks to an above average PowerPoint presentation shown at the last meeting on a wet and dreary Friday afternoon, where all participants had one eye on what they were doing over the weekend. The only improvement I can perhaps offer to the development team, who are likely already smarting from the kicking inflicted to their professional pride by the poor reviews so far, is to simply copy the old app and pretend that nothing happened.
Truly terrible
Since the new app launched open banking doesn’t work at all. I’ve spent hours in the call queue. Eventually someone called Jamie rang me and promised he would handle my case. Heard nothing since.
Terrible bank, terrible app and even worse customer service.
App is very poor!!
I’ve been with thinkmoney for a very long time and never had a issue with anything but since the upgrade on everything is been a sad and poor service! My biggest issue is the new app as it’s slow and does not show all the information as the last one did!! My moto is if it’s not broke don’t change a thing!!
My card arrived.
Told to delete my old app download new and I should be up and running. I have been trying since mid October. Nothing. App does not work says wrong account number. I call and call the company for two months now. Today finally got through only to then be put to an automated service. Called back again waited an hour to get through, again told go back should work now. Nothing ok delete the up download it again. Nothing again still says wrong account number.
Then I am cut off. Call again again another 30 minutes on the line waiting. Now am told they will speak to IT then get back to me. What crap the old app worked fine so why change it so clients have this technology problem? Rubbish.
Absolutely terrible!
Since this new relaunch I have been getting nothing but trouble. Ever since I have received my new debit card, I haven’t been able to pay many of my bills because my card keeps declining because the companies I pay my bills to don’t accept CREDIT cards despite my card clearly saying DEBIT on it! The app as well has been causing me no end of trouble since the relaunch as well! Absolutely avoid this diabolical app and banking.
Disappointed
The old app took the money from your account as soon as you spent it . This one doesn’t, making it harder to stay on top of your finances. I’m getting notifications for purchases made a week ago! Seriously considering leaving, no point spending £20 a month for an account that no longer has the feature you originally opened it for
Not even sure of the point.
This app is visually and technically terrible. Tough to navigate and frustrating to use. Oh and I’m pretty sure the new accounts don’t function as intended because the system hasn’t allocated my income that was paid early for the festive season. Why this app was even needed is beyond me, the previous version was perfectly functional.
Sadly it’s a necessity as the old app is only usable to see previous payments.
