THR Remote

This app needs a complete re-write to be of the same standard as the actual amp it attempts to support. While it’s functions are useful (when it manages to connect) it routinely crashes. The ability to update amp firmware should be enabled over Bluetooth.

That’s an evening of my life gone to as I can’t get the app to connect. Thus a whole raft of options not available.

Warning!! Do not buy these units - they do not connect via Bluetooth and the App interface is broken with no update from Yamaha. AVOID

Can’t use app as it closes constantly. Crap

Software flaky, amp needs power cycling every couple minutes to regain connection. Able to download patches but needs work

Just bought the Thr30ii. App doesn't save anything I load. The desktop software doesn't work with Mac M1. Very disappointing after spending nearly £600 on the whole thing. Loved the original Thr10, hopes this would open up new possibilities, please get this fixed developers!!

The app worked perfectly the first time but now just either freezes or loses constantly.

The THR app is useless. Bluetooth connection is so flaky, it barely ever connects, and if it does it always crashes after a few minutes. It’s unusable and infuriating since there are plenty of the features of the amp which can only be unlocked using the app. iPad Pro. iOS 14.6, latest THR app and firmware updated today in case that made a difference (of course it did not). This has been the case ever since I owned this amp (1year). It’s never worked. Useless. Don’t buy a THR amp until they fix this - many of the features of the amp are inaccessible without the app.

The app simply doesn’t function. Freezes, loses Bluetooth connection, doesn’t load presets. A travesty. And seems to have been ignored by Yamaha for months now. What are they playing at? In contrast my £100 irig micro works flawlessly with amplitude. Too late for me but I would seriously not recommend buying the THR10 ii until this gets fixed reliably.
