TTA is a very very good board game. The only issues it has is it takes a bit to understand and play in real life. The app solves both these problems, great tutorials, great in game help and reminders and overall fantastic implementation. Async and live games work really well, challenges are amazing for single player, overall just amazing.

I played this game for a week and lost almost every single game or resigned halfway through as the engine I put in place was just not strong enough. Then, after watching some YouTube videos and reading some tips and tricks articles I finally started to perfect my early game strategy…. And I actually started to win and win and win!! Give this game a go, stick with it and you will understand why it is held in such high regard.

Better playing it on the app than the actual board game. So well done!

I think this game has the best time to money ratio of any game I’ve ever bought, and I own it on three platforms. I can’t recommend it enough, the online multiplayer is immense fun with friends.

My friends and I have played this game every day for 6 months and we’re still looking forward to the next one at the end of each one. It is really the ultimate turn based game. You have to think hard about your moves, but after you’ve moved you can forget about it and go on with your day until you’re called up again. The app is really well done and handles all the complexities you’d have to keep track of in real life for you. I’ve never even played the game in real life, but now it’s one of my favorites. Thanks to the devs for creating and continuing to support such a great game! Ps. Just a side note to the devs about a bug. If I enter the game via a push notification I can often get a spinning globe forever in the top right when I go to end my turn. Normally have to hard close the app and open from scratch to prevent this happening. (Can be annoying if you’ve just spent 10 mins perfecting a move!). But either way, thanks so much for the game!

Hard game worth it £5.

Been playing this on and off for around 4-5 years and always find myself coming back to it. An excellently designed strategy game perfect for mobile. The online games are really fun and have various settings for time constraints to suit everyone. For a one off price, you get a complete game. No pay to win nonsense, just plain old good content. Please support the devs and encourage the right kind of developers for the future, so we can slowly move away from the biggest scam of the century, pay to win development

Through the Ages is a complex boardgame, but there is a brilliant tutorial to ease you in and a variety of difficulty settings to get you started. I use it to practice the tabletop game when I have no opponent and really enjoy it. There’s a lot to think about and it’s a game that isn’t easy to take in all at once, but if you persevere there’s a really engaging strategy game here with a lot of depth and ways to win.

This is a very complicated game. You have to be careful to keep a lot of different things in balance - production of food and building materials, science and military strength. And you have to keep your population happy. I have been playing this game for a few days now, and today I beat the training AI for the first time (while it was on the easiest setting). But the complexity of this game is what I like about it. I can tell it’s going to take a long time to really get the hang of it, which means I won’t get bored. Also, the tutorial is wonderful. It does a good job of teaching the basics, and there is a lot of humour in it too.

This app implements the board game very well, with a nice interface and plenty of features.
