TMC Alarm +

The customer service and monitoring is superb. The app on the other hand is antiquated. It crashes each and every time I arm/unarm the system, then I reload it to see if it took the action I initiated. It didn’t use to crash however after the update to ios17 it began the crashing. There is no emergency/SOS button or shortcut in the app which would be a great enhancement for safety.

We switched from ADT a few years ago when they informed me they were going up to $40 per month. I contacted TMC and was told to use them we had to pay to change out the panel as Monitoring Center system was not compatible with our current system. So up front cost was a couple hundred dollars but we saved that in the first 6 months with TMC. Also since I was a senior they said they would lock in my rate of $9.99 per month for life. About 3 months ago TMC center sent out an email letting me know they had a new wireless feature so I could cut my in house phone line thru frontier. Again up front cost a couple hundred dollars and added $10 to monthly alarm bill. Saving of getting rid of house phone $50 per month. Also now I’m able to use TMC new app that allows me to monitor system from phone. Usually when we pay less for any service you expect that service to be less. This has not been my experience, could not be happier.

Had keys pads put in and they hardy even work right They need to update their system

Intermittently nonfunctional with multiple false notifications by the monitoring center

Inconsistent showing between panels and app sometimes. Couldn’t arm and disarm a few times as well. This is a security system, but doesn’t feel reliable to control remotely. They should not charge till the app is stable.

App freezes and becomes non functional often, all that appears is a white screen when you open it. This makes it difficult to use especially when not in the home

Not sure how this app is so highly rated. Both me and my partner experienced offline app all the time. Sometimes arm from the app it does nothing. Call the customer service they told me just keep remove and install the app, guess that’s why they can do instead of working on the app itself

This app doesn’t work. No service. No fix. Garbage
