Todo - Task List Organizer

Purchased this app many years ago and had been very happy with it. Than after updating iOS the ToDo app wouldn’t start without doing an update. The app update changed it to a paid version requiring a $29.95 annual subscription, but more importantly ALL my ToDo data was gone, no reminders, nothing. Have submitted a ticket to support but have not had a reply. Have deleted the app forever, VERY disappointed Appigo!

Guys, you’ve really messed up the UX with setting dates and times in this latest version. Please please please revisit!!

I was using TODO for years then suddenly without warning the app forced to update to TODO10 which now requires a paid subscription model. After updating it opened up and my data is now all screwed up, tasks from years ago have popped up, some current ones are there but lots missing. Seems they’ve screwed this ho badly and haven’t tested it properly. This has caused me massive inconvenience, I’ve now lost all reminders for upcoming bills, important reminders etc and it will take me days of work to find all the information. Thanks for nothing Appigo !

I purchased this app few years ago. Appigo forced me to migrate to new version about 1 year ago. Today they banned my access to some important features and I can’t add any task. I don’t want the new features but I need to use the basic ones without paying money again.

Does all I need plus more. Would have preferred no monthly fee. However support was prompt and efficient

ToDo 8 was a good app which met our needs. The least Appigo could do is to give us back the product we paid outright for. This is much better than manipulating and deleting the negative reviews and comments. Stop giving lame excuses about this not being technically possible. We can only wonder what greed or stupidity behind Appigo’s thinking to betray and effectively rob the base of pioneer users which allowed it grow. It is extremely unconscionable of Appigo to delete ToDo 8 from our devices and replaced it with a totally different product which require regular subscription to retain the basic features we enjoyed outright in ToDo 8. At the time of purchase, the contract was for the perpetual enjoyment of the advertised features for one outright asking price. We woke up one morning to find that Appigo pulled the rug from underneath us. Our database had been uploaded to Appigo’s servers without our consent. The task manager (ToDo 8) had disappeared from our devices and we were asked to create Appigo accounts, or give them our e-mail addresses in order to “get back” our databases. Come on Appigo, do you want to start your working day like that? We have and use several task managers. We were early adopters and we grew with them throughout the years. Even when they introduce cloud-based services, the original contracts of outright purchase were respected and adhered to. We continue to enjoy the purchased features without being forced to make regular payments for them.

Since using Todo, every aspect of my life has felt more controlled. I’ve tried a handful or two of task managers but I keep coming back. I love that lists, tags, projects & checklists can stand alone or be linked, that sub-tasks can have a diff due date to the parent task and that the layout and design is simple and easy on the eye. My only criticism is that repeat dates could offer more options. Instead of repeat this task ‘Quarterly’ I’d love to be able to say ‘Quarterly, on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.

There are a lot of task apps out there, but this is the only one even slightly usable. It still needs improvement; it shocks me that so many developers cannot seem to understand what the general category of 'Productivity' ought to mean when designing an interface. SPEED needs to be prioritised, not bells and whistles. If pen and paper would do the job quicker, you are failing at a basic level. At least this app is on the right track, well it was until the update from 8 to 10, and now almost nothing works, you can't select any entry, you can't do anything. 😠 Update - it mysteriously started working after the half dozenth restart, but even so the new interface is a travesty. It takes up waaaaay too much screen real estate (the old app just took up half - and did in one screen what now requires two), and re-arranging entries is painfully slow - it takes over 5 secs for each one to update, and when you have dozens to address, this is just unacceptable. It should be instant! There used to be a button to display tasks by tags, that is gone, and the quick pop up for editing an entry has been inexplicably put at the bottom. Also, the three dots top right preference icon thing wastes a button push - again, a ridiculous thing for a productivity app - when it only gives you two options anyway. Hey - I've got an idea - how about two buttons instead? In any case, editing any entry should be FAST and it's a strange thing when you realise the old app version did it faster. I guess I'm now looking for a new task list app again. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Maybe this is easy for others but giving a task a completion time I can’t find. Also how do you delete a task in this new version?

Promised Outlook task sync but does not deliver. Wasted my money.
