After 20 minutes the turn window top right froze so I unplugged the phone, reconnected and it was working again

I really do want to like this app, features like speed cam warning and average speed measuring in the zones are great, but many basic things simply do not work. The bad: - Searching for businesses is near impossible, you can only get to a place if you already know where it is or have the exact address. I have to check the address in google maps and copy-paste it into AmiGO to get anywhere - CarPlay integration is unfinished, the app is not recognised as a navigation app so it doesn’t stay in the 3 recent apps on the side bar and the split screen does not work with it. Workaround seems to be a constant stream of notifications with current directions which keeps a bar at the bottom of the screen, far from ideal - App uses OSM map data but seems it doesn’t update it very often or caches it for months, the changes I’ve made to my neighbourhood have not appeared yet, over a month after the change was made - Resume journey feature does not work most of the time, the app simply hangs up searching for route, going back sometimes fixes this somehow? - The support is very hard to reach, requires an account to be created to speak to a human rather than the useless bot which is a glorified search function. After getting through to a human however don’t expect much help, to the above points I was simply told “they’re not issues” The good: - Speed camera warnings are great, well timed and give plenty of detail - Average speed check areas calculate and display your average speed - Overall colour and UI design is good, albeit sometimes less responsive than I’d like in the app, in CarPlay works fine - Traffic and temporary issues are clear and useful to see From the reviews and other places it seems the app has mostly been abandoned and unlikely to improve any time soon, it’s a huge shame as the good parts of this app are hard to find anywhere else but not sure if worth the hassle of dealing with all issues in the long run! :(

When I first downloaded the app, it gives me the options to avoid like unpaved roads, 2 tolls options, ferries and motorway options. Why in 5 minutes later, does it get rid of the second toll options which the app also get rid of the lane guidance feature. I always choose fast routes, but why let’s say i want to go to Gatwick Airport, if the motorway is clear, why does it take me to through London when it take longer? So the routing system needs to be fixed as well as the options. Next update I expect you guys to fix the routing issue

Great app, highly recommend and great value for all this( free) Wouldn’t change, better than waze

Used this for a journey to Newcastle and back. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. Excellent info regarding cameras, average speed sections etc. recommend

I’m happy to pay small fee to get this app up and running again. Was by far the best sat nav. Doesn’t work with car play anymore 😢

Had a beta version of this last year and all the problems in that are still there in the latest release. Different phone now and installed new current version from App Store so nothing to do with previous installs. Using Apple car play or just the phone, the problems are the same Put an address or postcode in “Sorry, this route is not available” Try again Same response Delete and reinstall Put journey in All OK 3 minutes into journey and screen freezes Stop car and restart phone Put details in “Sorry, this route is not available Try a different place Same problem! Restart phone Same problem Try another SatNav app (Magic Earth) Calculates route in a second Restart Amigo “Sorry, This route is not available. Can’t trust app to not fail part way through a journey. I realise it is free and I can’t complain too much but there are a few out there that maybe don’t have all the same functionality But do get you from A to B without issue Now I’ve tried Magic Earth app (I am not affiliated in any way to them) I may stick with that as it does the job. Sorry TomTom, this used to be great. Now, not so much and does put me off using one of the TomTom paid versions.

Up-to-date iPhone 14 max pro and this app continually has problems with Apple CarPlay. After about a minute, the map will freeze. The instructions continue verbally but the map no longer updates and usually has frozen in place - not good for a navigation app. Looking online, this is not new and has been an ongoing issue for over a year but still not fixed by the developers. I think CarPlay functionality is essential in navigation apps so should be the first thing developers get right when releasing software. Uninstalling/reinstalling does not help, neither does logging out and back in. Sometimes it won’t freeze but it will fail to show the route correctly again rendering it fairly useless for navigating whilst on the move in the car. If I’m at work, it thinks my car park is a field and therefore won’t even attempt a route until I get onto the road - so it wants me to drive to a road, then while I’m driving fiddle with my phone to get it to give me a route - not safe (other apps like Apple Maps/Google Maps/etc don’t do this and let you get a route all the time, simply starting from the nearest road point to you). Recently the following started happening when using the phone on its own (ie. not with CarPlay) rendering the app useless: Get into car and request route = “sorry, this route is not available” Wait a minute for it to stabilise = “sorry, this route is not available” Start driving, get passenger to request a route once in the road = “sorry, this route is not available” Get to a main road and try again = “sorry, this route is not available” Nearly reach your destination = “sorry, this route is not available” I mean it’s so poor it’s laughable. A log out and reinstall then login again fixed this last problem but that’s pretty much the FIFTH time I’ve had to do similar over only 1 week. Such a high failure rate over 7 days means this app simply cannot be recommended to anyone. Even the most basic navigation app coded by a single developer rather than a team outperforms TomTom AmiGO.

Very slow and showing wrong route

After last update my app has stopped working iPhone 7 with iOS 15.8.2 any ideas why. Hi again all ok now thanks
