Tourist Refund Scheme

Wasn’t accepted in Sydney. You can spend all the time you’d like to enter in your receipts here one by one ahead of time and obtain a QR code, only to told upon arriving at TRS that it won’t be accepted and you’ll just end up filling out manual paper forms.

Whatever bugs there were, there aren’t anymore. I’m from the states and I downloaded this yesterday and used today. Super user friendly and self explanatory. I had no problem pulling up my QR code for the TRS agent at the airport.

Managed to fill in my details pretty easily. No crashes. Not great experience but it works.

App worked perfectly. My refund took <1min for the staff at the airport to process since used this app beforehand!

The app works fine, however when you get to the airport there is no separate line for app users. You have to stand and wait in the long, annoying line that everyone else who didn’t used the app had to use. Waste of time.

There are soooo many loopholes you have to jump through. It’s better not to waste your time because they’ll do anything to not give you your money back. A literal “scheme.”

There is no ‘fast line’ for taking the trouble to use the app so you are wasting your time at Sydney. Just leave an hour and get in the line.
