Useful & functional app after the update
This application on iPhone used to be mediocre when it used facial scanning that was below average at best. Now that Touch ID & Face ID work with it, it is instantly improved. Works seamlessly with iOS as most apps should.
If I could request a few more login details for different countries to be added, this would be great. Not everyone using the application resides in the USA.
Otherwise, good effort on the part of developers!
Lack of transparency
This a paid subscription app and the download is only to allow for a “try before you buy” run.
The description is not accurate as you are given only a limited number of “free” logins (seems to be about 15) whereafter you are blocked from access unless you subscribe and make payment.
The app has some great features, but this lack of transparency is a huge turnoff as thee “free” download is used to entice you to make use of the software, start storing passwords and then having them “trapped” and held to ransom until payment is made to unlock the “full” version.
Given the clean look, a reputable brand, great features I would have maybe paid for the app, but given the deplorable payment tactic as well as the lack of transparency and pricing information I will not support this app. Developers please consider this for future - people respect openness and are happy to pay for quality and value, but only do so when they can see the value and there is transparent pricing information.
Like it very much!
Very good!
Great!
Very Usefull!
Not enough flexibility!
Password storage is great, but syncing across multiple devices is not as reliable as I would like. The other shortcomings of the service/ app include the inability to change one’s default email and not being allowed to change the master password.
Security
Gives me security…….
Saves me
Love this app. Don’t know how I would keep up with all the different passwords with it!
What is going on
Continuingly having issues with the app or the extension but also, this is not available on Mac why?
Disappointment After Two Years with TrueKey – Needs Improvement
I’ve been a TrueKey user for over two years, and while the concept of the app initially appealed to me, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The promise of seamless sign-ins is great, but in reality, it falls short. Every attempt to use TrueKey on my iPhone, whether for web or app logins, results in the same frustrating error message: “Unexpected error has occurred. Please try again.”
Selecting TrueKey over iCloud Keychain should be a smooth process, but it’s anything but. The app only signs me in half the time, and its inconsistency is a major drawback. Its buggy and faulty nature makes me question its reliability compared to other password managers. With my subscription nearing its end, I’m seriously considering switching to a different service.
A product should deliver on its promises, and unfortunately, TrueKey doesn’t. It fails to function properly, even in basic tasks like opening. For an app designed to simplify access, these issues are more than just minor inconveniences—they undermine the entire purpose of the app. My advice to potential users: consider other options that might offer a more reliable experience.
The last update was three years ago.
Mcafee stopped supporting the TrueKey app through updates three years ago. The bug-filled app makes calling for help futile. The support staff don't know what you are talking about because they don't know the products, probably because they do not use the TrueKey app. If the TrueKey app is supposed to be a security product—not updating the app for three years is a complete failure.
