Type S Drive

First i had problème to connect. Solution : you need to accepte all wifi , Bluetooth, location etc. When installing apps . ( I have iPhone) Second . When wire to constant power ( 12v) you will note loose the connection when driving back and front. Let ‘s the cam always power on , so when you need it , it a going to be available . Just connect your phone on the wifi of the backup Cam and get the image as soon as you open then apps. For quality of the image ; very good even in low lite . And you can adjust the lines for guiding . So accept all access that is ask , and power the cam on constant power and not the back lite of your car and it won’t switch off and you will not lose connection!!! My positioning kites are always on . But some will have to open it for powering the wifi cam . Good lock . Be aware all third party wireless backup cam are made on the same . Hope it helps.. Norm.

Can you guys update the app and make it support CarPlay? I'd like to be able to directly project the camera into my dash screen. Thanks. I will happily give you 6 stars once done.

If you take car out of reverse into drive, then put it back in reverse (as is normal with parking) app will disconnect from camera and give error, then not reconnect. Image is mirrored in app, and function to correct orientation does not work. The app renders the hardware essentially useless. Returning camera to store.

It will ask your permission for your location, access to your bluetooth devices, and your network info. It is connects to the backup camera's wifi connection for this to work. it shouldn't have anything to do with anything else. If you don't give your permission it will not connect to the backup camera.

With so many people having the same connection issue, why the delay to update the software and fix the problem? Money grab from the makers it’s seems like, selling a broken product and never responding to complaints and issues

Type S Dashcam was purchased at Costco’s for $100. This is the most complicated and user unfriendly device I’ve ever owned. It’s very difficult to connect to WiFi and cell phone. Total waste of money

I’m at the first step, connect to WiFi. And the password given doesn’t work: the message I receive every time I try to connect is “Unable to Join.” The password is simple, I’m not typing it in wrong, yet I still can’t join. The app is rendered useless if I can’t even accomplish step 1. If I could, I’d rate it 0 stars.

Camera no longer connects to my iPhone. It could be an issue with a phone update. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it still does not connect. Troubleshooting is useless on the webpage. It’s a shame. This is a great camera and it has gotten me out of two jams. The video quality at 4k is fantastic. But if I can’t connect it to my phone, it’s time for a another brand of camera.

When I try to preview the camera on app, it’s just a black screen. Nothing I do seems to work.
