Vivaldi Powerful Web Browser

Opera was great, but Vivaldi blows it out of the water. The download manager? Flawless. Performance? Fast and rock-solid. Sure, cloud syncing has had its off days, but the constant updates and innovative features more than make up for it. It’s easily the best browser I’ve used—highly recommended.

No VPN nonsense and syncs perfectly with multiple devices.

Vivaldi is a good mobile browser with unique features as does it's desktop version but it simply doesn't work for me. This is because I contribute to a number of Mac related forums so write a lot of quick replies on the fly. I have a Pro Max iPhone but still require page Zoom at 125% for visual comfort, I am 72 now. I have two iOS web browsers both of which have page Zoom and both include the post/thread reply box but not Vivaldi. In Vivaldi the text written in the reply box is at the default (unzoomed)size about 15pt. I find this far too small and have contacted Vivaldi in both words and pictures but got no reply to requests for a fix or workaround. I hoped version 7 would fix this but no luck. So, I will be deleting Vivaldi and continue to use alternatives that have this simple feature.

Why would someone say that a product is good and then give it only one star rating? Honestly, this is a good browser and should be seriously considered for everyday use. It seems to handle multiple tabs much better than most browsers do, although I don’t have any technical expertise to judge that. I’m commenting only on my experience. So, why the one star rating? I don’t like being *forced* to give a rating for the product in order to continue to use it. I tried to quit the app and restart it multiple times but it always made me rate it in order to continue to use the app. In my mind, this is unacceptable.

Just wish tab stacks from desktop could be seen in mobile when looking at synced tabs

Opera used to be my go to browser. Vivaldi is even better - it’s innovative, the download manager is the best ever, fast, reliable and I’ve never lost anything or experienced corruption of downloaded files. At work I’m stuck with Chrome but Vivaldi would be so much better if they’d only let me install it. Not buggy and downloading upgrades is super fast. Innovative new things are always useful and make Vivaldi even better with every version.

As other browsers now have a feature where dark mode is forced on web pages, I’m hoping this feature will be implemented in the future.
