Waterspeed: Track Watersports

Why cant companies just sell an app instead of rent seeking. $45 a year would be expensive to buy this app but $45 a year is ridiculous. There are cheaper options out there that basically do the same thing.

Heaps of features and easy to use. So far so good.

love this App integrals with my Garman watch. Set up set up a challenge with my Windsurfing friends .Who could do the most distance in six months over summer.😀

As both a sailing racer and weekend cruiser, I find Waterspeed works very well for tracking performance on the water. It’s especially handy when I need to quickly check the speed on my Apple Watch while trimming sails and the main instruments are not visible. The interface is intuitive and provides the right information. That said, adding a few advanced features would make it even better. If Waterspeed allowed users to drop (current location or selected location such as the flagpole on the club house) pins for the port and start board start line markers; and then calculate the time to cross +/- mm:ss based on current speed and heading - it would be a game changer for club racers.

This app seemed pretty good but it does chew the battery life on my iphone12 and watch6.

Have been using this app for a little over a year now. Seems more accurate for speed check than Strava. Takes a little to actually upload after a session but happy otherwise.

Great app just won’t comply to setting rules. The always on feature doesn’t work. Even Apple Store techs couldn’t explain it. Even though this is a IOS developed app

Hi, the app has potential but needs more work. I subscribed for a year but requested a refund due to the app being to laggy. The app crashes often. I’ve been using it for winging and foiling fyi.

I’ve used Waterspeed for two years now to track and measure every Surfski paddling workout that I do. The detailed data and visual satellite view maps are great. And it’s always a real high when I crack my previous top speed 😎

Love this app and use it all the time a few times per a week for a year. I am a mobile developer too and really see many efforts and quality of this app. The developer is extremely responsible to fix issues reported- in a matter of hours after a bug reported the fix is ready. Huge thanks to the developer ❤️
