all i wish is that their are more age appropriate voices, i don’t want to ask my kid what they want and hear a “grandma” voice asking if they can watch youtube kids or they want bathroom like more kid ones please. Everything else is PERFECT

Weave Chat AAC is a free, dynamic, and completely customizable AAC app that is available to a variety of devices.
Weave Chat AAC offers a large variety of verbs (green), pronouns (yellow), questions (purple), nouns (tan/orange), adjectives (blue), and conversational words (pink). All color choices were made based on the Fitzgerald Key and new vocabulary is added weekly.
Users can add their own custom images and categories in Settings —> Manage Custom Images.
In addition, users can add their own custom phrases that can easily be accessed from their board; to add phrases, go to Settings —> Manage Phrases.
Users can select a synthetic voice (dependent on their device settings) from Settings —> Change Voice Settings - here you can select your voice, vocal pitch, and rate of speech.
Image and text size can be personalized from Settings —> Change Image & Text Size (select from default - small, medium, and large). Settings —> Configure Image Keyboard allows the user to turn on/off features that allow for the category text to be read aloud (synthetic voice for categories), to keep the user in the category after a image has been selected (stay on category after image selection), and disable the speech output for individual words so that it only reads aloud when the white text screen is touched (synthetic voice disabled for individual words).
The AAC board can be modified in Settings —> Manage Board Builder. Here, the user can select from the default board (you must make a copy to edit it - to do this select “Add new keyboard” and then select “Hide Images” for Type of Keyboard); grid position boards (ranging in size from 1x2 - 7x15 rows/columns); and Board Builder (gives you the option to build a board from scratch). All boards are completely editable and all custom images and categories can be used from all boards.
Lastly, Manage Pin Configuration allows the user to set a pin over all (or just some) aspects of customization to lock down features as needed.

Best app! One small issue
So me and my friend both use this app and it kept freezing when I was trying to put in their email to chat with each other. Other than that I like it. I do with it was a small bit easier to see on smaller devices. But great app!

It would be better if it had a tutorial on how to make your own phrases and save em for later and multiple use.

Thank you so much developers for making this app free! This app is an absolute lifesaver for anyone that needs help with communication. I love that you can save your own phrases, add vocabulary packs (including profanity lol), and that the overall design is simple and easy to use. Thank you so much for making the word a little more accessible!
Actually Free, Good For Adults Too
Unlike other apps this one is actualky free there isnt secretly things u cant do til u pay. Also after entering birthday was able to get nsfw word options and swears which is good because i HATE when these apps assume only kids use them or that ppl who use aac dont swear or have sex etcect. Aslo!!! very good queer words! lots of queer words! lots of identities! they have my gender! which isnt a commonly found flag :) (only problem is that when u make ur own word and then u wanna edit image only choice is ur ohotolibrary not the weavechat icons. thats a bug hope they fix)

I only recently discovered Weave Chat but I can’t imagine life without it now. It’s been so helpful for my communication, I feel so liberated and like I can be out and about in the world. Fabulous multi platform AAC app. Weave Chat is rocking it.
Big fan here 🙋🏼♀️. I have it installed on my iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Android tablet, and Amazon Fire tablet. Super impressed with how quickly Weave Chat AAC replies to questions, requests for new symbols and features and how quickly they fix bugs. And that it’s totally free. And that they offer the app on three different platforms (iOS, Android and Amazon Fire). And that the app works on phones and tablets. And that they have some of the best content for adult AAC users. All this in a totally free app. Very impressive. Weave Chat is rocking it 👏🏼
