Weave Chat AAC

I love this app. I love how it’s free, easy to use, and the creator of the app literally helps and creates more vocabulary.

HI, I’m Gretchen and I downloaded literally every free AAC app that IOS offers, over ten options that I messed around with, went through all the settings, and did my best to see how they would work for my brother-in-law, a 32 y/o who has never used an app like this and never wanted to interact with a communication board when he was younger. I can honestly say that Weave Chat is the absolute best app of its kind available. I work as a direct support professional with my BIL and others and have already recommended the app to every client I work closely with and have let my client try it on my BIL’s talker to show their guardians how easy it is to use and how customizable. There are so many words available that I ended up hiding most of them to start so that it wasn’t overwhelming, but with how easy it is to use and customize, my BIL is now communicating for himself for the first time in his life and it is absolutely amazing to see. Thank you for making this app and updating it regularly, and thank you for giving Sam a voice.

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to for this amazing app. You can customize your age and it will adapt the words and if to young you just need parental consent. It has such a wide vocabulary I can speak full sentences. I love this app so much you need to get it if you need an AAC app. I love this app so much. A must need.

i love this app but i wish editing the buttons could be slightly easier, like if i could edit them from the main board page by clicking like a settings button in the top right to unlock the board so i can hold down on any button to edit it, and having a + button for adding a new word to any page/folder without needing to go back and forth in different menus for adding and editing images of words, because doing that currently is a little bit of a struggle and feels more time and mental energy consuming but otherwise its lovely and im so grateful it's free, if you guys could make the button editing easier in the future i would be so happy

This app has been a game changer for one of my clients. He is able to communicate clearly with a variety of people for the first time ever. It has made a huge difference in his confidence, behavior, and quality of life. As an SLP, I appreciate how easy the app is to use and program for my specific client. The tech support is super responsive and helpful. They worked late and over the weekend to fix an issue my client was having. I love this communication app SO much! It doesn’t place any aspect of communication behind a paywall, which I respect so deeply. I do have one small nitpick, but it’s not big enough to drop it down any stars. The thing is, with the self-recorded audio for buttons, the audio is always really quiet. I have to turn up the volume super high just to hear it. Other than that, this app is absolutely wonderful and I’ve been practicing using it every day, and needless to say, it does the job well!

This app is free with voice output and editing options! It is hard to get AAC options in my district and this is opening so many doors for my kids!

This is such an amazing app!!! And for FREE!! I really cannot believe it is real!! This eliminates such a ginormous obstacle that SLPs face when attempting to get a child set up with a much needed AAC device…. Thank you Weave Chat AAC for helping both SLPs and future AAC users!

Weave Chat is a robust app with a responsive, thoughtful, and dedicated team of developers. They listen to every voice, and frequently add features because of customer requests. They are adding features and additional languages at an astonishing rate, and are among the aac apps I recommend the most frequently. I am an aac user myself, as is my child, and we both enjoy and use Weave Chat (among other aac tools as well).
