I continuously am told on the APP I am not eligible to choose my seats on the APP, why? I am PLATINUM! So I have to call in to select my seats? I can’t get through to an agent so I am stuck? This happens when I book in line, book through a westjet agent AND when my corporate travel agent books. This has been happening for a year, mentioned to several Westjet agents when phoning to change my seats, I fly almost weekly. What a waste of everyone’s time.
When you are booking from app, it crashes when you reach page for add insurance. When you try to login from website, mostly the site is down. Seems like a gimmick/scam that you cannot buy tickets when they are bit cheap. So end up buying expensive when they are available.
Last 3 flights despite deselecting not to move into premium plus the software decided to move me anyways. Also as a platinum member I thought I could pre-select seats yet now it says it’s not available. The checkin process is super slow and takes forever.
It takes forever to checkin with this app. I have my passport and Nexus information in the app yet I always need to enter it manually, even though it is part of my profile. Other airline apps are significantly faster than Westjet’s annoyingly slow check in process. The app continually spins saying “just a moment”.
I fly weekly for work, and with the auto updates WestJet is about 50% track rate weather they break something that gives unknown errors. You need to hold your developers more accountable; I’m sure that it’s offshored but WOW the amount of money you probably pay for app development there should not be issues like this.
Takes waaaaay too long to simply check in for a flight. Awful.
You select the basic fair and the upsell is very hard to by pass. Westjet team, if I select a basic fair its because I want a basic fair. I don’t want to spend the next 5min trying to escape your upsell. Very poor UX execution
Glitchy, slow and not user friendly. But not near as bad as WestJet customer service, average on hold wait time = 50 minutes.
I never leave reviews. But the WestJet app makes me so angry that I feel the need to. I’ve flown with most major North American carriers. WestJet - by far, has the slowest app. It’s not intuitive. It takes forever to load the simplest things. Infuriating
