So far the apps doing a pretty good job recording 5 to 10 minute chunks of dictation. I haven't had a glitch come which other apps have. The accuracy is pretty good. Oh something goes wrong, there's no support. I contacted them because I couldn't back into a session in progress. They never responded. So I guess there was a glitch--or two.
I don’t know what’s happened in the last few weeks but I’ve been getting lost or incomplete transcripts and recordings. This is an app that I rely daily on and I can’t reasonably trust it’s going to work anymore. All of my attempts to reach out to support have been ignored. This is a huge bummer because I love this app.
This is the holy grail when combined with send to Drafts email.
What a delight to come across an application that does one thing and does it tremendously well. Really well thought through app that records and transcribes up to 90 minutes, super efficiently and also allows you to do so from your Apple Watch You can now also create summaries from your transcription/recording. Very, very nice.

Whisper Memos is a pretty good transcription app that uses Whisper AI and automatically sends the transcriptions to your device and an email address. I use it to send transcriptions to my Drafts App email address so that I can push them to Obsidian. I have recorded myself, meetings, and webcasts with fantastic results. I wish there was an option to automatically send the AI summaries, but I’m sure that will come in the future.
This app effortlessly transcribes my speech no matter how windy or noisy the environment, no matter whether I mumble or fumble my words, and even does a fairly good job when I intersperse Chinese with English! Transcription is fast, eerily fast, and the Zapier integration just seals the deal. Why Apple can’t manage to get itself together with regards to transcription is beyond me. But, I no longer care. This app is all I need! Thanks devs!
Works exceptionally well
Whisper Memos fits my workflow exactly: easily record a note, and have the transcription sent to my email. Perfection!
It is lacking key features like the ability to search and also a level meter to see the quality of the audio. I hope this app improves quickly, but I definitely feel it was a mistake to have paid for it.
