WNBA: Live Games & Scores

Very glitchy. Sometimes if I pause the game a few times it’ll completely blank out the screen and I have to start the app again and figure out where I left off. Also, a few times I’ve went in and it’s telling me I need to buy by pass when I already have bought it. So I then have to sign out and then back in. Not the worst issues but definitely annoying. (01.06.24) Still glitching. You can fast forward sometimes but other times it just stops working and the play button is crossed out and you have to start from the beginning. It’s annoying because if you don’t remember exactly where you are in the game you just have to guess so you either miss it realwatch a whole bunch. (19.07.24) Still glitchy as before. Now can’t even get into the “games” section. Just a loading white screen. Poor show.

Great app, easy to use and full coverage of games. Only problem is a big one - no option to turn off/change position of subtitles which is very annoying when they cover the score and clock - ruins games - especially when close.

I could not finish a single match as it kept on crashing. The problem is that one can’t even find the match which was being played while the app crashed. There is also no option to check your history.

Please improve play controls on the Apple TV app, the current 30 second skip is far too long and should be 10 seconds like every other app. There is also no way to seek forward or back which really should be a basic feature on any sports app. I would AirPlay a stream to Apple TV from my iPad Pro (from which play navigation is easier) but that is broken. All in all a very poor viewing experience on ATV. August update - 2 months later there’s still no improvement in play navigation controls on ATV other than jumping around in 30 second skips, which is next to useless. Also the limited Airplay functionality in the previous version (it sometimes worked if iPad screen permanently on) is now completely broken in the latest release. I guess the app devs just don’t care enough to sort basic functionality, disappointing. Edit: As per request asking for further details of Airplay problems on Apple TV (4K), it simply doesn’t work. The playback device connects to ATV on Airplay request (either from WNBA app or the Apple device itself) but the stream will not play at all, the red circle error icon on ATV’s Airplay screen is displayed. The same result happens when sending to ATV from iPad Pro 2nd gen, iPad Mini 5 and iPhone 13. As I say the previous workaround of leaving the playing device screen permanently on no longer works. I can stream video via Airplay using other apps without issue, this behaviour with the WNBA app is repeatable (for me at least) so you should be able to reproduce this yourselves I would have thought. September 15 edit: Would downgrade my original score if I could, nothing fixed regarding reported basic app functionality issues. Have now cancelled subscription renewal, woeful experience.

Pointless when iPad app won’t let me use my chromecast to watch games.

I’ve been paying for the wnba season for over 5 years but i have been discouraged from watching it the past 2 years. It looks sleeker but now missing the simple features that made this user friendly. I watch this mainly on my laptop and iPhone. If I minimise the app on my phone, when I try to go back to full screen, it takes me back to the beginning of the game. No skip back or forwards on the web browser version when I watch on my laptop. I’m watching less and less games now. I used to watch almost every game but now just down to a couple of games a week. Switching to YouTube to watch the Euros..

I’ve paid for a yearly subscription again this year and have no way to watch the games on TV as there is no option to Chromecast on both iPhone and Mac. Can this please be sorted?

Used to be a simple but decent app and they ruined it. Every aspect of the app just links you to their website which requires me to reset cookies each time and is cumbersome to navigate in app. It’s the most infuriating thing, want to check the standings? It sends you to their website. It’s lazy coding. It’s harder to find the games, just looking for your team and the games just played is now difficult. I’ve watched less games this year because of it. Please sort it.
