The best
I am rather exigent and have tested many dictionaries without finding what I was looking for, but this is the best. In particular, I like the option to filter dialects. As a British English user, I can finally see only the pertinent part of the language. I also appreciate the option to control what kinds of related words that will show up. Sometimes I find the explanations and examples somewhat sparse and brief, but this is no major issue. Neither is my wish for IPA phonetics instead of the weird spelling of pronunciation; after all there is audio available for most words. Thank you for a dictionary matching my needs closely enough! Added some seven years later: My review is still just as true as back then. Now I wanted to add a few more things, though: If you add Chambers Dictionary and Chambers Thesaurus (that are great, too), you've got a power pack. These three interact, and let you jump between them depending on what aspect you desire. Also, there are versions for Mac, and you can get your search history and bookmarks et cetera synced between devices. On Mac, they can even coexist smoothly in one window, and the jump is just a tap to choose tab.
