Be careful because if the host has bad reviews, they can be taken down! i had finished a horrible experience and i understand that it can happen, however when i wrote a review to warn people about this host, they removed my review because of “misleading information”, even though i said nothing but the truth and in a professional way too. taking down reviews should not be allowed, they are there to be seen for others, however all this app wants is money. gross.

The app is great so far. It is easy to look for opportunities by location. I got a reply and an invite within a week, but there is no way to edit messages or remove applications if you made a mistake. It would also be helpful to know if the messages have been read. It would also be great if users could search for opportunities with tags other than place names and type of volunteering such as: ski, sports, education, surfing, animals etc.

I keep trying to sign up via this app but I can’t get past the terms of service page. The “Accept” button doesn’t work. I have tried numerous times. Please fix this bug!!

Put me and other women in a very dangerous situation with a man sexually praying on women on the site. Hosts are not thoroughly background checked. When I told them what happened, they said they would help me get a hotel due to the extremely traumatizing experience that they allowed to happen, which I have on record in writing, then changed their mind. Offered me no support other then “go to the German police.” If anything happens on your stay they will not support or help you. I messaged the girl who had been with the host before me and she said that she had already reported the host to Wordpackers. This means that the company was aware of the situation and danger and still sent me there.

En este viaje tengo planificado 4 voluntariados por Europa, de los cuales llevo dos y me siento plena contribuyendo a los anfitriones que me han acogido en su estancia. Todos muy amables y amorosos en su trato. En cuanto a la planificación de Worldpackers en equipo con los diferentes anfitriones del mundo, me parecen excelentes. Gracias.

I spent 5 months on this app trying to get accepted to volunteer smwhere + i payed 40$ for the subscription but no host has accepted my application. I tried to email the app for help or for a refund but they didn’t give any solution for neither. + a lot of host wouldn’t accept you is you don’t have a EU passeport (aka white). Anyways don’t subscribe and don’t pay !

While the app may be free, membership is definitely not, and most disappointingly has no access to any type of customer service.

The app doesn’t load anything anymore so I can’t apply or look for destinations. My app is totally up to date and this has been happening for weeks now

So I downloaded this app in hopes of traveling the world helping others in other countries while adventuring, I paid 99$, I got a reply from someone but it wouldn’t let me reply back to them, the app was slow and glitchy, and I couldn’t even complete the courses because the site it tried going to to take them wasn’t a secure site! So I reached out to world packers and told them I wanted a refund and apparently I don’t qualify for a refund even though the app doesn’t even work.
