Worldpackers Travel the World

When I downloaded the app, it was automatically in Spanish and I couldn’t change it to English.

I created my account with Facebook and every time I choose to sign in using Facebook it says login failed. I’m unable to use the app because i created my profile with Facebook which is quite annoying especially since the website is not made for phone usage. Please fix this bug before I have to leave on my trip!!!

I really live this platform, totally amazing to find abroad opportunities. However, I feel like the website is more user friendly and easy to use. I feel like the search filters and photo uploads are easier on the website. The chat is better on the app for sure !

I just downloaded the app and when I click to sign in no keyboard pops up to let me type. I can see it flash on the screen for a split second then it disappears

The idea is great, but the app has so many glitches. Constant error messages pop up when trying to update profile or apply for jobs. No button or process to get the certificate for the watching the videos on the app - doesn’t acknowledge that I’ve watched them. The map doesn’t show locations of potential work sites. (Maybe it does after you’ve been accepted to work?) Lots of room for improvement.

I wish it had clear pages or clear scrolling when you’re looking through saved hosts/postings, especially if there are many positions you’ve saved for one country. You scroll down and it refreshes to the top with different postings and you can never see them all. Otherwise decent app

i like the app, i like the way it helps me travel for less money. there are some bugs on the app but nothing too bad. HOWEVER, I am really disappointed with the way they handle bad hosts. I had already seen some people say that Worldpackers hid the bad reviews and only posted the good ones, but didn’t think much of it. I applied to a host with literally dozens of good reviews but when I got there I had a horrible time. We were 6 at the same time and everyone left early. The assistance took so long to answer the other volunteers when they asked for help to get out of there that I just found help from elsewhere because I knew they couldn’t help me fast enough. All 6 of us wrote honest reviews, I know mine contained no insults and no harsh comment, and I gave 3 stars. Still, they didn’t put ANY of our 6 reviews on the host’s profile. A month later, I’ve seen new reviews appear, but of course, only good ones. I am really disappointed because if I had seen all reviews, good and bad, I could’ve made a better decision as to wether or not I wanted to go work for that host. I wasted money getting there and dealing with the consequences.

You have to pay for this application and then after when you are trying to apply to Asia no body answer you and the one that answer you or asking you a lot of money sometimes 60$ a day to work for them .. and also one of the host told me that this price was to cover everything if they get cut because it’s not legal to do that over there! I ask a refund the first week and then after they answered me the next week and they said that the refund was for the first week only. They are all steeler and abusing our generosity, both of them.

Hi, I couldn’t find where to contact you and write a complaint sooooo.. I’ve just gotten my first worldpackers opportunity but on the app the additional fee icon was not present. Which it is present on the website. This is an icon that should be present on the app as now that the confusion has settled I’ll have to change my plans and have waited here a few days which was now unneeded. Otherwise the app is pretty good. But I think I’ll double check with the website from now on. *I ended up finding the contact and they responded quite quickly and were very happy to help me. So I’m happy with my experience with them. Their app is very easy to read and use though and it is formatted better then the other ones. Just needs more opportunities in some countries and then it’ll be gold. 🙂

World packers is user friendly, organized, and a great way to explore things in life with little risk. You can exchange the talents and tools you have to better both your life and someone else’s. I think this app is well worth the in-app purchase.
