Yale Secure

We love our Yale Assure SL lock, except for the fact it no longer talks to HomeKit or the Yale Secure app. It worked fine until iOS 13. I emailed Yale NZ for assistance and am still waiting for a response. Research seems to suggest this problem is with the Yale app and its incompatibility with iOS 13. Hopefully Yale steps up to the plate soon or we’ll be moving to an opposition smart lock. PS: ran the update that came through 18/09/20 and tried to add the lock but no dice.

Just payed 400 dollars for this and it doesn’t show up on the app????

After long waiting and failed several times on my iPhone with Yale app to update firmware of my Yale Assure SL with apple home kit. I finally managed to update it with my iPad use the same APP. Not sure what was the reason for this.

Firmware doesn’t update in the app

The latest version of this app adds much needed features to Yale’s homekit lock. Being able to assign names to PINs is brilliant and also easily bringing a history list of access. The only other feature we’d love is being able to create one off unlock PINs that erase themselves.

Worked only briefly and like everyone else now it can’t find the lock although Home can access it and operate the lock ok.

This app was great until apple updated the IOS. Now you can’t use the Yale App at all.

The app will show the lock as available to add. You add it to the app. Then you add it home kit. Then all of a sudden the lock removes itself from the app. It’s glitchy and just isn’t a great experience at all. Terrible and unreliable at best.

Update needed as app doesn’t work anymore as per previous user review. Locks don’t appear anymore in Yale app. Still work on HomeKit as before.

Apple released iOS 13 beta for the developers before they release the full version to the public. Yale should have done their assignments like other developers do ! Please update the app. I just bought my 6 locks 2 weeks ago and now its bonkers and the locks wont appear nor can I access them remotely through the app ! Locks can not be seen anywhere in the app !
