In the old days man tried to catch a glimpse of the future in the strangest of ways.
Experience the ancient Swedish phenomena of year walking through a different kind of first person adventure that blurs the line between two and three dimensions as well as reality and the supernatural.
Venture out into the dark woods where strange creatures roam, on a vision quest set in 19th century Sweden. Solve cryptic puzzles, touch and listen in your search to foresee the future and finally discover if your loved one will love you back.
Mysteries and clues await everywhere in Year Walk, but to fully understand the events that took place on that cold New Year's Eve, you will have to delve deeper than the adventure and lose yourself between fact and fiction.

This has everything I love; an indie puzzle adventure with beautiful artwork, a bit spooky, cool mythology and story, and yet... it still falls a bit short. I don’t mind paying because I know the creators would have put a great deal of effort into this and deserve to earn something out of it, but I do find myself resenting how short it is for the price. The biggest puzzle was navigating the map - too complicated and too many almost identical settings. I wanted more puzzles, more of a challenge than just “where was that cave again?”. I also felt like there could have been a little more exposition. I love a mystery, but I would have preferred something to explain what a year walk was within the game, not on a separate companion app. Still, I loved the vibe and had an enjoyable hour or so playing it.
Waste of time.
I’ll keep this review short. I read the reviews, I bought the game. It didn’t live up to any form of hype or “critical acclaim”. It is a mundane “drag and drop” adventure. The environment and music are nice, and the story has its merits. But this is barely a game, more of a scenic walk through a forest. Do yourself a favor. Don’t waste your money.
I wish I could like this more
This game has a very consistent and considered art style, and a soundtrack to match. But I'm stuck - not because a puzzle is too hard, but because I don't even know what my goal is. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to go or what to do. Great atmosphere, not the greatest puzzles.

Couldn't work out how to start, had to search it up. But once I got started it is a really good game. Rated 12+ for a reason

So at first I thought this is a really strange game. So I stopped playing considering it was difficult for me to understand the game and left it untouched for months. When my internet stopped working properly I got the urge to play the game again and this time it took me all my effort to finally complete all the puzzles. The game is extremely confusing without any background knowledge so I advise everyone to download the companion app after completing the game. It really explains EVERYTHING you see in the game it's just amazing. I'm really interested in this year walk and I'm keen to any new developing games.
Amazing story is it true
Wow this game is awesome and the jump scares are great got to be one of my favourite games
