I’m really enjoying this app. I feel like I’m learning new words faster than with any other method I’ve used and so far my motivation is also way better with this than other apps or methods of learning (20 day streak). I genuinely look forward to learning new words and repeating the ones I’ve done. It’s quite repetitive and the quiz style Qs are quite easy but that probably adds to why it’s enjoyable for me. There’s no grammar, the focus is increasing your vocabulary. There are also different topics and levels depending on your interests are and what you’re learning for.

The app itself is great for learning but the automatic audio doesn’t work. I wouldn’t have even known the words were meant to play right away until it randomly worked then never worked again. It doesn’t stop you from learning but it’s definitely annoying.

10 minute French is helping me learn words in a steady and progressive manner. I would recommend this app for all stages of learning.

I liked the look of this app and saw an offer of Full access for 6 months at £17.49 on the app info page, which I thought was reasonable. However when I get to the payment part the only options I had were 2 months for £29.99 or 12 months for £79.99 after the 7 day free trial … I contacted the support email address but had no reply. I would not trust them with the cancel anytime option if they advertise a price to draw you in and then don’t even bother to respond to a genuine query…. Update … so I was asked to give more details (which I had already given) I sent another email with screenshots of what their own app was trying to charge me and over a week later still no response … so again, they are clearly not bothered with any kind of customer service …

Signed me up for a £70.99 yearly trial, I never used it after the free 7 days so thought I could request a refund through apple like I would normally do if I accidentally subscribe to something. Apparently this app is not eligible for a refund. Contacted my bank with a complaint.

I saw the ad, I thought this might be the thing I need to boost my vocabulary, which really lets me down sometimes. The idea of a free trial appealed and I was hoping to get a chance to at least try it for a few days before deciding to commit. Having gone through the initial profiling, I then get the chance to “Study for 7 days for free” The next part of the same screen says: Today: Full Access. You don’t need to pay anything at the moment. Day 7: Subscription starts I click continue and then get held at having to provide payment information. This raised alarm bells, and I am aware of the issues of trying to get refunds through the App Store that I stopped immediately. If you are not going to offer a free trial, don’t say it’s free. Offer a no commitment cancellation for the first 7 days or something but don’t lie about it being free. If, as your comments suggest, you are all for the customer experience, continually improving the product, you will see that this pay wall, will actually lose you customers and therefore the valuable funding to your team. I am not going to speculate on something I have never seen in action. If you want me to subscribe, show me the product before asking for my money.

This app charged me for 2 months automatically ahead of the cut off date for the trial. I went to cancel it and it had already charged me £24! I tried to contact them but the contact email option doesn’t show a send button. It seems impossible to be able to get int ouch hence this is my only method. I would like to be reimbursed, I haven’t used it past my trial period. The way it works feels kinda scammy, I feel like a fool :(

I found this app via an ad where they had french subtitles under a scene from a series with french dub. The ad made it seem like you can learn the words by hearing and reading them in the context of the scene, but this is not the case. In addition, the speech recognition is not the best - when I learned “mariée” the app kept recognising “Marier” and eventually told me to give up - but they sound exactly the same!!
