So disappointed

This app charged me for 2 months automatically ahead of the cut off date for the trial. I went to cancel it and it had already charged me £24! I tried to contact them but the contact email option doesn’t show a send button. It seems impossible to be able to get int ouch hence this is my only method. I would like to be reimbursed, I haven’t used it past my trial period. The way it works feels kinda scammy, I feel like a fool :(

Misleading ad, frustrating speech regocnition

I found this app via an ad where they had french subtitles under a scene from a series with french dub. The ad made it seem like you can learn the words by hearing and reading them in the context of the scene, but this is not the case. In addition, the speech recognition is not the best - when I learned “mariée” the app kept recognising “Marier” and eventually told me to give up - but they sound exactly the same!!

Using calibrated repetition this app so far works well.

Easy to learn

Very good for vocabulary, good technique

Nowadays I expect some of an app to remain free. To charge for any access at all is ludicrous.

Good but not great

A good app, I enjoyed doing the free trial but in my opinion it’s not worth the money compared to what else is out there. It doesn’t tell you if a noun is masculine or feminine, which for me is a big deal. Overall, I think there are better French apps out there but this isn’t bad.

Expensive and not great

Doesn’t make it clear u til the end that it’s quite expensive for a simple app. The words aren’t ones I’d consider everyday and when they come up they don’t show if they are masculine or feminine! Read the dictionary- it’s cheaper and you will get the Le or La!

Learn without trying in nice short bursts.

Fantastic app!

I love this app so much, it’s exactly what I was looking for. It’s a great way of learning vocab and really good for advanced speakers. I love how easy it is to discard words I already know or don’t want to learn and pick the ones I want to memorise. And the app properly follows the spaced repetition method, which I really appreciate. There’s one small thing I wish they’d update. When you have to type the word out they give you a set of tiles with letters in a random order and (especially for longer words or phrases) it can take ages to just find the right letters or to edit the word if you pressed the wrong thing. I’d love it if we could just type the word out on a standard keypad instead so it’s quicker. But overall the app is still brilliant and the best one I’ve found for learning vocab. It’s great too that you can pick the topics you want to focus on from the start. Will definitely stick with it!

Poor design for I phone

No space bar for between words when practicing spelling on iPhone - pretty useless
