Ableton Note

just paid 9 swiss francs (around 10$) for this app, only to find out: there‘s NO WAY to change the meter. there‘s only four to the floor. no 3/4 no 5/4 no 6/8. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Also i don‘t need church modes on a weird unsystematic touch squarem i want CHROMATIC CHOICE and a PIANO interface, come on, i‘m on an ipad pro… it‘s just sad. I just wanted to quickly jot down an idea in 5/4 but with the weird tone mapping on this tap-pad matrix, no way i can actually QUICKLY do that. and only in EDM-normalcy 4/4. What a waste.

It would be so amazing to record with your iPhone mic directly into an audio track. I would use it all the time for field recordings or melody / beats ideas (I know there’s the simpler, but it’s only 1 minute then, and not so straightforward). The app is still amazing though!

I just had a look on it and either im blind or there is option for singin in a voice memo for a track Cause when i got ideas on my mind it would be nice to have a track to sing in as a reference.

It’s good but it should be easier to add a bunch of samples from ableton (like a whole drum folder) Also a sequencer where you can drop notes manually would be interesting. Having the possibility to do it both way would be nice. Right now it’s kind of crippling you basically need to do and be skilled w finger drumming or you lose a lot of time editing the seq if you don’t want humanless quantization afterwards. Having choice is great and I don’t think the app would get too complex with it ! Synths are cool I wish it was possible to toggle having the full screen of only knobs on some synth so you can adjust them on the fly and you get more parameters. Any it’s good as it is but the absence of nicer way of sequencing prevent me from using it more

I like the concept, the flow you get when playing in it and the sampling possibility. The connection to Ableton desktop via Ableton Cloud possibility is superb! Tempo should be fixable in the song even when stopping and adding a new capture. I don‘t see a reason to adapt the set tempo to a newly recorded capture which then restarts the set in a different tempo. Differently put: Please add a „fix tempo“ selector in the Set Settings. If enabled, stopping the set and adding a new capture to a clip would up- or downtempo the captured clip to match the actual set tempo.

Cool App, works pretty fine and stable. I love the Cloud Import. I love the sampling functionality as well, very good to take musical „notes“ on the fly and import it later into Ableton without any 3rd party app. Thx

Bad just use garage band

Experienced ableton user. Absolutely love this app. Needs more support for ableton effects, specifically I need a comprehensive compressor with sidechaining. Support for operator and wavetable would be cool also.
