Basics but not well advanced compared to Western banks
This app gives good basics to manage your Adib bank accounts, incl. some self service options however it is way behind what other Western banks offer in their bank applications. The bank should look at online banks like Revolut but also well established digital banks like Abn Amro, Rabobank + others. European banks also offer new customers to open both a personal or business account online within a few mins. Something that takes much paperwork/uploading for UAE Banks. Not even talking about Business accounts taking months to open (versus a few mins online in Europe). A few of many things missing: - To some accounts you can only wire a foreign currency instead of opting for just sending AED to use the foreigns conversion rate. They basically force you to use the ADIB conversion rate. You need to visit a bank office to wire in AED. - Transactions sometimes show foreign currency value and you need to click on it to see the AED amount. - Transactions don’t show how many Emirates miles you earned - There is not an advances analytics tool, showing how much money you spent per category (for example gas, food etc) in a month. - You cannot change your home address in the app. - You cannot book a video call with a bank advisor to get advice on topics from the comfort of your home.
