Having used these for several years, I finally decided that they are quite useless. Caddie rarely works and the AI has no knowledge of the course to make very accurate recommendations. So it doesn’t know you’re in the rough. it doesn’t know you’re slightly blocked out so often the recommendations are useless. A golf watch is all you need. Yes understand your distances but you dont need Arccos

Had the app for the free trial, helped me identify where i was dropping shots. Highlights some of the good shots you make which i liked. I would have paid for the subscription but not being able to pay monthly put me off.

Used the app and sensors for a year and was happy. Sadly got an injury when meant I couldn’t play golf anymore. Followed the instructions on the app to cancel subscription 3 weeks before renewal. No response so sent another email as per the process on the app. No response. Renewal day came and took the money for the next. Emailed again and eventually got a reply saying they hadn’t got my emails (even though the emails were in the emailed chain responded to!) and would cancel subscription but would have to wait 10 days until it hit my account. Pathetic customer services.

I’ve seen the reviews that complain about the sensors not working/pairing straight out of the box but I didn’t have any issues at all. I’m definitely a numbers person when it comes to golf, so knowing the correct distance for my shot is perfect. I still have a few rounds to complete to get the best data but I can already see what area of my game requires attention. There are tips to get the most from the sensors and improve the game in weak areas and these are good tips and drills for range practice. I have already seen improvements from just two rounds and some practice on my weaker areas. I wouldn’t have realised were my weaknesses were except for the more obvious ones but the numbers don’t lie and I am able to work with the data to improve the other areas highlighted by app. Overall I think I will have a huge improvement in my performance over the next few months. Brilliant!

Quite Simply the easiest way to get getter at golf! using the app is so easy for me, I check after every shot and make sure the flags are correct on the greens, I use my iPhone for all the distances and data, love how easy it is to use. Yes it might miss a putt sometimes but long as you check after each hole to correct the data it’s perfect! I check as I walk to the next hole, saves time after the round. Love how it breaks down different parts of the game showing where I need to improve. It’s a must for any golfer wanting to get better

Great for tracking stats but lacks severely in user experience when trying to be used as a golf gps guide. Poor quality maps and UI

Most golfers lose shots because they don’t understand their dispersion. They use the driver at the wrong time or aim their approach and tee shots too aggressively. Arccoss collects dispersion stats but doesn’t show this in a user friendly way. The app also doesn’t provide a way to measure the width of parts of the course. This is crucial in deciding when to drive. The Shot Scope MyStrategy feature allows golfers to understand their dispersion and make better decisions. Arccoss were the best but have now been over taken by Shot Scope.

I’ve used GameGolf, Garmin & ShotScope, and Arccos is by far the best system out there, with your level stats. The Caddie feature is great to plot rounds when I’m visiting courses I’ve never played. The GPS with maps is spot on to find layups and carry distances over trouble, and in practice mode I’m able to get elevation changes on distances, which is great to mark out in course planners etc. But the Tour level stats is what really makes the investment into this product so good. I’m able to see how I perform against a handicap level I’m aiming for with the Strokes Gained metrics. And with free access for all PGA Professionals, I can work with my coach on particular parts of my game that need improvement, through a specially designed Professionals Dashboard just for them. It’s such a good, unique feature and can and does benefits all levels of golfers. I believe in the Arccos product so much I’ve become a global ambassador for them, and I’d NEVER put my name to something I don’t truly believe in!

Still only about 80% working on sychronisation between iwatch and iphone. The watch tends to lag the phone in terms of recording shots and closing holes out. It then sticks on the watch in terms of hole progression. Once the watch gets stuck on a hole there is no easy way to get it to resychronise with the iphone……would be good if the watch could be forced to go onto the next hole dather than waiting to close out the hole itself.

Been using the app for a couple months now and it has some great features and insights but is lacking basic functionality. For example, want to see all your previous rounds at a particular course? Well, you can’t. No filter options for previous activities, just a chronological list. Garmin is great at this. You can view stats overall or by course. The Arccos course preview caddie is also very disappointing. Yes it’s nice that it suggests clubs and a strategy based on your club stats but I want a course preview too. I want to design my own strategy and drag markers to show me distances between points in the same way that other apps do. All you get is an incredibly basic graphic overlay on Google earth images that you can’t do anything with. So frustrating. Give it a go, it may be good for you but not as good as the Garmin app in my view. It does have potential to be way better. Especially as they charge £100 a year for a subscription and Garmin is free with a device.
