1.13.1 worked fine 1.14.0 crashed on launch 1.16.0 crashes after the “what is an electronic travel authority” page

To the developers of this app: Many people will despair at the handling of this half-baked product. This app does not work on newer passports. Not even with a new cell phone. I think it is because of the reflective plastic surface where the biometric data is recorded in the passport. I (like many others as far as I could read) tried everything for 2 days: outdoors; with and without the light function integrated in the app; I even bent the new passport so that it lay flat, reinstalled the app over and over again, etc. - it still didn't work after about 20 attempts. Finally, I applied for the visa online (Visa 651) - it is the same visa as the 601, only certain countries are excluded. The list of countries excluded can be viewed on the immigration home affairs page. The 651 visa was granted to me just seconds after I submitted it.

It’s always user friendly to applicants who deserve to travel to Australia. No room to comment the app. Thanks

It’s taken me 100 tries and I realised the only way to fix bad quality image is to make the background the same colour as your outfit and position your face about 4 cms from the image

not userfriendly at all. too sensitive face recognition, too sensitive IC chip reading process, quite few bugs that you get stuck in spesific step of processes and not friendly at all if you don't understand English. very disappointed.

Unfortunately my elderly mum could not get this to work at home (it was very hard to get the photo to be recognised - even with a lot of assistance) so she went to the airport thinking they would help. They didn’t help, refused her boarding and she lost her entire ticket from uk to australia ($6.5k). Travel insurance won’t cover it as not having a visa is treated as ‘failed to board’ and not covered. There needs to be a different way for elderly passengers who can’t use this tech.

Horrible app. Very difficult to scan passport then when entering my address it says invalid because the street is not in Australian format. Obviously because applicants are not in australia. Worst of all pay a “Service” fee to apply and don’t even get approved with no one to talk to further clarify. Still have to pay again and again and again until approved??? . It’s scam and frankly should be against Australian consumer Laws.

I have an IPhone 11 and this app was super easy to use, only thing I had to redo was the Live Photo. As soon as I had decent lighting it worked! I was super stressed cause I left it a little last minute but I kid you not I had the approved application in my inbox literally within 5 minutes of sending it!
