BFI Player: Hand Отзывы Пользователей
Terrible app. Buggy and frustrating
This is a terrible video player app.
When you Chromecast it to a TV screen, the session expires after about 5 mins, meaning, the film is still going on the screen but the app in your phone is gone back to the Home Screen and has lost track of your current viewing session. If you want to pause it, rewind, or do anything with the film you are currently watching, you have to terminate the app, stop what you are watching, open the app again, select the same film again and play….
Rubbish app
The app just doesn’t function , real shame
Casting is terrible!
Great selection of movies but the chrome cast support is bizarrely inept.
No good on my iPad mini
Disappointed I can’t watch on my elderly iPad mini 2 (iOS 12.5.7). On the App Store, it offers to download an older version of the app, but it won’t actually do it. Very frustrating.
No Apple TV
I’m a BFI member and this is in no way a review of the BFI or the service. However, this app needs an Apple TV version. I don’t want to watch films on my phone. Come on … please make this available on Apple TV.
I’m gonna buss up the BFI if this keeps happening
How’s the app telling me that there’s 2 users using the account. Blud I made the account an hour ago I can’t be 2 people.
Apple TV Support
Now that tvOS 17 has been released, now would be an ideal time to release a dedicated BFI streaming app for the Apple TV that doesn’t require airplay from a separate device.
It’s unfair that the USA already have such an app but the UK doesn’t.
I have therefore cancelled my auto renewal and will not rejoin until such an app is released. I have decided to join Mubi instead which offers similar content and more stable and reliable for not needing to airplay from a separate device.
Very disappointing. Useless app
Great Library. I’d love to spend months going through it.
But very disappointing - a virtually useless app. I can’t get it to Chrome cast from my iPad to my TV. Other streaming services - BBC, ITV X, 4 etc cast perfectly well.
Seems to be (not) run by tech amateurs. I see from two current Feedback displays here that response time for app developers is one month and three months. Says a lot.
I’ll be cancelling my sub before the end of the 14 day free period.
Great disappointment, app film content is unbeatable.
Useless App
So frustrating. Such a great selection of films but the app (for IOS) is useless. Each time I try to watch a film I get an error message, “Something went wrong with playback. Please try again later.”
I cancelled my subscription a year ago for the exact same reason and fear I shall have to cancel again.
BFI, WHAT is the problem. WHY can’t it be resolved?
Why no TV app?
So there’s no Apple TV app, nor an app on my smart tv to watch these films. Instead I have to use my phone to stream it to the TV like it’s the early 2010s still (insert joke about a service showing old films using old tech here).
I would’ve thought that a service whose audience is primarily film buffs would have an actual TV app to show the films in their best quality.
